How to cook Jellyfish…

That’s how I feel when people say they about to cook/eat chitterlings.

I don't know where you're from but to my knowledge people mainly eat those in the South...

And they're called "Chitlans".

This muthafucka's said "Chitterlings"! :roflmao:

And I've said on here before but I had chitlans once more than 20 years ago.

My Aunt was making them and I never had them and I wanted to taste them to see what it was all about.

All the hard work to clean them, dealing with the shit and the shitty smell so I KNEW that it had to be worth it.

One bite and I was

They didn't taste like much and I'm still confused why people go through so much just for those.

I expected something special and was highly disappointed and never had them again.

I’m from the south. I normally call them Chitlins, but the proper negro side of me said chitterlings.

My wife is from the DR and I remember she asked me one time “what are chitterlings?”

My mom used to cook them shits. It would run me out the house every time because of the smell.

I’m adventurous with foods, but not too adventurous. Some stuff doesn’t have to be digested.

"Proper negro side"!

I feel you but I only know them as "Chitlans" and they're gonna be called that in all instances!

I can definitely understand you not trying them after having to deal with that smell. My parents never made them so I never experienced it, just heard about them.

And I'm still puzzled the hard work people put in to clean them for them to taste so...

One of my exes was cooking them shits years ago, got offa work at the firehouse, got home and opened the back door.... kitchen smelled like humid hot shit.... like a sewer backed up into a sauna..... the container said cleaned chitterlings on it.... I told her to never ever cook that shit again in my apt....and to throw that pot out when she was done..... then left for a few hours

.

@4 Dimensional ....tell a mofo here about drinking purified water from a sewage plant..... and they'll lose their mind.... tell'em chitlins are for dinner, a literal organic feces container, and it's oh boy, oh boy, oh boy... they're doing a little jig..... disgusting.... :hmm:
