Shortly before roe was overturned, my niece had an ectopic pregnancy. Her sister had a miscarriage, but i dont recall the timeline. Both wanted their child. Some states are trying to criminalize healthcare. In Tx a woman was briefly jailed due to a miscarriage. Women with nonviable pregnancies are being brought to the brink of death so doctors cant be accused of breaking the law. I'm in Ohio, which is currently making it harder to change laws to reverse their nonsense. Having someone I love dead or jailed over GOP policies is not an abstract idea. It is literally life or death. I can't vote or withhold a vote simply to make an ideological statement or protest. Voting, or not, has consequences. I don't have to guess or imagine the consequences, we're seeing them all over the country.
