I think some teams need to change their approach & strategy to the QB position
Kirk Cousins & Deshaun Watson basically fucked up the market for everybody
Now damn near every QB going forward wants these ridiculous contracts with guaranteed money up front
But the problem is once a third of your salary cap is spent on your QB
.....Good luck getting to the Superbowl
Because it doesn't leave you with any cash for many free agents
So unless you have a top 5 QB (like Mahomes or Brady) who can elevate other players
You're going to be in that "limbo type area"
Where your good enough to make the playoffs, but not good enough to go deep (see the Vikings for example)
So if your QB is not a top 10 QB (like Daniel Jones, Dak Prescott, Cousins, Garoppolo, Jared Goff, Geno Smith)
Best strategy might be to trade them for a 1st rounder or 2nd rounder
Then draft multiple QB's until you find the next Daniel Jones on a cheap 4-5 year rookie contract

I was reading earlier that we're targeting 3..to get to one, we may have to give up too much..a lot of the mock trades ive read have Brian Burns included in it and thats a non starter for me..I feel like we cant go wrong with Stroud or Richardson..personally, i would prefer stroud because he seems the most ready to start, but i will take richardson and let him learn under a veteran. If we get richardson, then I'm fine with getting a Derek Carr, but not for what he's asking
I agree with this, i dont think there will be that many fans crying about losing Jones

Looking at a couple of mock drafts & G-Men taking a receiver 1st rd has been consistent with most having us take Jalin Hyatt with Zay Flowers already being gone.

This is crazy to me, if any franchise should know just how medicore (at best) Derek Carr is, it would be the Saints.
They played him & the Raiders this past season, and they shut them out. Cac had Devante Adams and the leading rusher in football and put up a goose egg.

All dat hard work to only get injured right b4 a possible multi million dollar payday… happened to 1 of my boys who had a high chance of making it to the nba.. got injured and never got to play in the nba.. he did at least end up making 6 figs a yr in the educational system

These QB contracts are crazy. And the thought that Daniel Jones getting $40m and it being considered an average or even a budget deal for a starting QB once some of the other guys comes off their rookie deals is beyond mind blowing
