Social media is not your friend!

Someone posted on here years ago a bunch of settlements to claim.

Think it was more than 9 claims of stuff I never heard of or was part of. Filled them all out.
Over time I know I made over $100, checks would come in the mail for $20-40 from no where lol...

Can't hurt.

Guess I can't file a claim since I never had a FB account.

I hate these class action lawsuits, they're such a waste of time. You usually got to fill out a couple forms online and then a year or two later you get a check for like $2.37. fuck that shit

Not true. I got one from USAA for $2800 for something I never filed for or was notified for. I said, eh, what are you going to do? look a gift horse in the mouth? Nope!

Update:
I got a settlement check from a couple of lawsuits I didn't even remember. One was for about $50 or so.
Today I just got a check from the Hearing AID TCPA Settlemnt (Robo callers called soliciting about products or something like that)
This check was for $146. I like these random fun money drops.

I one coming soon. I’m part of the the Facebook class action lawsuit for their hiring discrimination

I applied to a data scientist position that had opened in 2021. I was qualified like a mofo, but I didn’t hear anything back from them. Found out those rat bastards wanted foreign workers over people here.

Hope it comes through for you. I always take these class action joints seriously because even if it doesn't totally effect me, I can always use a random payout.

It should. I just got a letter from the DOJ saying they needed me to fill out a w-2. It has me curious on what the payout might me. I never had to fill out a w-2 with a class action lawsuit.

Yeah that is odd. They usually just ask for basic info, an address and details about whatever happened. I never had to submit a W-2.

and they had all that info already when they sent the letter. You know I made sure that it was legit too. If not then I got myself into some shit I can’t get out of

And I’ll be seeing y’all kats when I see you.

It was this one here. And it may have been an I-9 instead of a w-2. The I-9 sounds about right. I done smoked that memory away. :hithead:

Anyone who used Facebook in the last 16 years can now get settlement money. Here's how.

Anyone in the U.S. who used Facebook in the last 16 years can now collect a piece of a $725 million settlement by parent company Meta tied to privacy violations — as long as they fill out a claim on a website set up to pay out money to the social network's users.

The settlement stems from multiple lawsuits that were brought against Facebook by users who claimed that the company improperly shared their data with third-party sources such as advertisers and data brokers. The litigation began after Facebook was embroiled in a privacy scandal in 2018 with Cambridge Analytica, which scraped user data from the site as part of an effort to profile voters.

Meta denied any liability or wrongdoing under the settlement, according to the recently created class-action website. However, the agreement means that U.S. residents who used Facebook between May 24, 2007, and December 22, 2022, can file a monetary claim as long as they do so before August 25, 2023.

How do I claim money under the Facebook settlement?

Go to the claim website to fill out your claim, or else print out the claim and mail it to this address: Facebook Consumer Privacy User Profile Litigation, c/o Settlement Administrator, 1650 Arch Street, Suite 2210, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
