Several million Apple device owners received a check in the mail from a class action lawsuit. While it looks scammy this is actually a legitimate settlement - however the claims administrator has some serious issues with their data and many checks are incorrect. The administrator provides a short window for corrections which have to be filed in writing via the mail.
