The thing I hate about the whole Warner Media/Discovery position on the Briscoes not being on TV is the hypocrisy of it all. Jay made a mistake years ago, apologized for it, learned from it and moved on to become a better person.
The Briscoes can't be on TV yet you allow Dana White on TV who slapped the shit out of his wife to promote some stupid ass show called "Power Slap". You've allowed Nick Gage a convicted felon to be on the show. You've allowed Mike Tyson a convicted rapist to be on the show yet you draw the line at the Briscoes? If you're going to be outraged fine but at least be consistent with your outrage.

All I know is that whenever an ex-WWE wrestler dies and people feel as if they're not given a proper tribute on TV, everyone goes in on Vince.
TK, and anyone else with influence in the company, should get the same level of scrutiny.
People talk about how many billions of dollars TK and his family has and how they could buy the WWE if they wanted to, yet at the same time they pass the buck (no pun intended) onto Warner execs and act like they have little influence over their own product.

Mercedes seriously needs to work on her promos. This shit sounds so scripted and forced. Listen to how Britt Baker talks and how there's a natural rhythm and flow to her promos. Mercedes's stuff sounds so robotic. I will give her credit for knowing the greats like Manami Toyota, Aja Kong and Akira Hokuto and I suppose in a larger scheme of things it won't matter about the promos because in Japan they really just care about the in ring work.
She mentions that she's wrestled the Joshi Stars like Kana (Asuka), Io Shirai and KAIRI but she wrestled them in the safe and soft confines of WWE. In Japan it's a whole different animal. The stiffness gets turned up another notch. She'll be in for a rude awakening if she comes with that soft shit against the likes of Utami, Giulia or Syuri. They'll wrestle circles around her. I hope she can adapt and keep up.

I know it's an in-character promo and that's exactly what I'm talking about. Britt Baker does in character promos all the time and it doesn't sound robotic like Mercedes.

Or it could be she's a woman who's not in the men's locker room and vice versa. He can't be called a locker room cancer if he's not in your (women's) locker room in the first place.
Some of that stuff is well earned such as the CM Punk stuff.Obviously the Cabana stuff played to make them specifically the Bucks in this instance look good for "saving" his job and make Punk look bad for costing him his job even if Cabana was on TV as much while Punk was there as he was in the year prior to Punk showing up. Also the supposed leaks about the investigation played like that as well. Yes Punk went off on an epic rant which set the fight in motion but they should have also been smart enough to let shit cool off as opposed to confronting a guy who basically said that it's on site. As for the FTR thing that whole thing was a fiasco down to the bogus way the 1rst match and primarily its leadup was booked to how FTR was screwed out of a shot at a rematch playing into a weak attempt to have them avoid each other. And from their booking and the goofy shit they do and goofy characters that they're aligned with(Cutler and Nakazawa specifically) they give some reason to hate on/criticize them. How much of it is them and how much is on Tony Khan is up for debate on that.

The only one who's publicly referred to CM Punk as a locker room cancer was Jericho. The Elite have made no statements on CM Punk being a cancer.
So it's the Elites fault that CM Punk can't control his fucking emotions and went into business for himself making the whole company and the owner look bad. Nothing the Elite have ever done equals what Punk did on that night.
Blame Tony Khan for that; he's the Booker but you can't tell these Cornette marks anything. They want to believe everything is some elaborate Elite conspiracy so it is what it is.
No debate necessary. Tony Khan is the Booker. PERIOD! And I couldn't care less about any goofy shit that the Elite do. At the end of the day do they deliver high quality matches? Yes! If you accomplish that you get the thumbs up from me.
Actually it is! You set the events in motion to set the other person who people know can go off from time to time off then the result is on you. They tried to undercut him and make him look bad thru rumors in the dirtsheets then thought that he wasn't going to say anything. They can't be that stupid. And whenever he's had a situation it was never him running to Meltzer or any wrestling "columnist" to sell his story or spread a rumor. He reacts and lets people think whatever.
They are EVPs(Executive Vice Presidents) in the company so they have pull and input hence The Dark Order being created and pushed in a significant way initially. So yes Tony Khan is the booker but let's not act like they just show up and do whatever Tony Khan tells them to do. If so, we should have gotten them vs FTR more than twice in 3 years. Hell Khan booked The Briscoes vs FTR 3 times in 8 months with no TV to build it up.
The goofy shit that The Elite do is a huge representation of how they are perceived particularly for those who aren't hardcore wrestling fans. They present the best video game wrestling matches this side of Twitch and they are cornballs and worse yet this overtly corny shit began with them becoming heels so somebody thought this goofy shit would make them the heels that people would pay to see lose instead of heels that people outside of their most rabid supporters would change the channel on.
