Back on the 27th I was admitted to the hospital with a enlarged heart I'm doing much better thanks to the Most High and all of the prayers and encouragement from you brothers. We got the fluid I was retaining off of my body and my blood pressure is back down to 131/69. My arteries are clear and so far no stent is needed. However since they've started me on a new heart medication, they sent me home with a device called a life vest. It looks like a sports bra that you wear all the time. It monitors your heart rate and in the event that your heart stops it will go into defibrillator mode. This is to be worn from 1-3 months while my body adjusts to the new heart medication. I'm on a low sodium diet as well. Again I can't thank my bgol family enough. You guys lifted me up last March when my wife of 27 years passed away and once again you brothers were there for me. Much love and respect to all of you. I hope I can repay the debt one day. Bless up brothers.

Glad you're doing well..... but watch the blood pressure.... it's still high..... they lowered what the top number should be like two years ago (RN at my Doctor's office told me).... they recommend a number in the 120's now

You’ve already repaid us by doing better and letting us know our positive energy helped you… which showcase the truth about how good humanity can be and giving every1 hope that their is light in this sometimes dark ass world.. keeping doing better.. when it’s time for another individual on this board that needs some positive energy in their negative situation play it forward and give them many blessings to overcome their obstacle. As long as individuals can do this more recovery and progression can come from this.. good to hear the news and keep on doing well

H Funk my brother y'all truly have held it down for me during the last 10 months with losing my wife and this current situation. I hope I can repay the support, encouragement and strength all of you have provided. Our BGOL family (this thing of ours) is what's happening.

They deemed me with congestive heart failure. My E.F. (ejection fraction) is at 30%. A normal heart E.F. is between 50-60% I'm told. And that is the rate the heart pumps fluid thru the heart. So the plan is to wear the vest for a couple of months until my body adjusts to the new heart medication and strengthens the heart.

I need medication to help strengthen the heart. The cause, they're not sure because there is no family history and I'd never been diagnosed with anything related to this in my past physicals. Perhaps a genetic issue. Hard to say at this point. And appreciate any diets you post. Peace
