I think it's playful brother stuff since Mecca was not only a top journalist he has real industry ties and Math always jokes he never hooked him up and is a tough critic.
Mecca is not a sucker, not a street dude and is actually a very smart man who is trying to uplift and evolve without sounding preachy.

There was shit on both sides. Tax started taking about him on Twitter and then would bring it to the pod and he said a lot more than his music sucks. If Troy didn't say anything to Tax, Tax would have ran back to his pod.
