MNF: Damar Hamlin passes out after a tackle, received CPR and AED on-field, rushed to hospital in critical condition, game postponed

Man, watching Skip Bayless humminah humminah like Ralph K on Undisputed is tough, cringeworthy and welldeserved. Shannon Sharpe was a no show on the show this morning.

Skip tried to explain his tweets alone, center stage

Why the fuck did he keep huffing and puffin and sighing.

and then wanted a pat on the back for getting up after staying up late

Skip questioned how could the NFL cancel the game when the game was so important to playoff implications.

A game of that magnitude that was crucial to the regular season outcome.

Then followed up with "Oh by the way, finishing the game seems irrelevant now".

If finishing the game was "Irrelevant" and the health of Hamlin was the most important thing.

Then completing the game, playoff implications and the magnitude of completing that game so late in the season would've never been mentioned.

But you're free to believe it's because people hate Skip, but you'd be wrong.

Bro?

That was so f*cking excellently stated.

salute

Yes, I'll take Shannon's reasonable takes over SAS screaming all over the place like a buffoon.
I already know Skip is just putting on an act although he goes too far (like last night) at times with the act.

It's not just Stephen A, and they have rotating guest.

You're just watching two people go back and forth.

Yeah I am with you. I don't watch First Take for SAS, but the guests and other on air personalities that come on is way better. IMO

Foxworth just had a nice segment of ESPN this morning about the players getting enough money...
Fans become the mouthpiece of the greedy owners calling the players greedy when they ask for more money or a bigger piece of the pie they are risking their lives for(I mostly mean the White fans)

How dare they call the players greedy?

Deep down for some, not so deep down for others, the overwhelming majority of white people and white fans are jealous of athletes being able to make all that money. They don't like it and they don't think it's fair that these million dollar athletes won't just play like robots

These moronic fans blamed players when the owners locked out the players. Can you imagine the gall of someone blaming you because your boss won't let you come to work?

NFL players are the only League that don't have guarantee contracts. I don't even know what channel hockey comes on. Baseball is a dying sport, and in basketball the seventh player on the bench makes more than most NFL starters yet THE NFL doesn't have guaranteed contracts

That needs to change. They say that players will slack off if they get guaranteed contracts, will the defense against that is "conduct detrimental".

If a player is accused of conduct detrimental to the team he loses his guaranteed contract clause

He does that shit all the time. That and sniffing all the damn time. I'm convinced dude is a cokehead.

Crazy part?

He does it so much all his clones do it too

Next time you watch Stephen A Smith?

When it's his turn and he wants to get "deep & real"?

He will do the same damn annoying deep breath of fake concern.

It's like nails on a chalkboard

I hope the next nfl player on his show punches him in the face
Yeah right Skip Bayless, i see your bitch azz out here coppin' pleas :smh:
Y'all have me watching this shit

Skip is doing his best to show emotion
Skip now acting like he ain’t say what he say and being extra remorseful. Eat a dick.

Good for Shannon. Let Skip drown on his own. I usually watch the show, but not today. Fuck Skip.

Skip talking about his tweets were misconstrued/misinterpreted and he didn't know people were going at him until his boss called and told him to clear that shit up. Shannon was probably told to stay home because he knows as a ex NFL player people expect him to call Skip out about those tweets

Basically this. He put what he felt strongest about first.

I won't lie. A lot of people won't have even seen that he made that last comment. But that's because he chose to place focus on the game and the league first. He made that choice, and his choice of language made it obvious that he thought about that before showing anything that resembles compassion.

He'd have a firmer foothold to argue with if he had just started where he ended. If the first thing he said was, "I know it's irrelevant, given the focus right now is rightfully on Damar Hamlin's health, but..." no one would have said shit to him. It would still be a trash take, but that's nothing new from him, anyway.
I admittedly didn't read it or even see it until after Jarvis Landry's post calling him an idiot

I don't know why anyone tests the mind/mouth/pen of Bomani Jones or Michael Harriott.

Those men are brilliant
So they are brilliant because they are super liberal? They aren’t even close. No man that is a male feminist or shill gets respect outside of the demographic(s) that they target.

You dudes really prefer that bullshit to First Take?
Yes, I'll take Shannon's reasonable takes over SAS screaming all over the place like a buffoon.
I already know Skip is just putting on an act although he goes too far (like last night) at times with the act.

I made the comment below in 2016 when it was announced that Skip was leaving First Take, I had stopped watching the show altogether because Stephen A. made it unbearable with his screaming and acting like he was spokesperson for black people. I'll watch First Take every once in awhile depending on the subject but Stephen A. is worse than he was before because as he said in his comment below “THIS IS MY SHOW“ and he's always letting the guest know it

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, who battled Bayless on “First Take” on a daily basis, promised at ESPN’s upfront presentation last month that the show will be “even better” without Bayless.

“As you can see, I’m alone. I’m all by myself. Because my guy, Skip Bayless, has decided to depart,” Smith said. “It’s MY show now,” the ESPN personality emphasized, and cited a few ways he’ll improve the show. “You will not be hearing about Tim Tebow, or the Dallas Cowboys, or Johnny Manziel.”

Additionally, in the not-too-distant past, popular on-air talent Bill Simmons, Colin Cowherd, Jason Whitlock and Keith Olbermann all left ESPN as well.
Man i hate Stephen A. just much as i hate Skip, i could tolerate Skip but Stephen A became to much and i finally stopped watching. Stephen says stupid shit claiming to be the spokesperson for black people, he's to loud and then is constantly dropping names about who he knows

It took me almost a year to start watching UNDISPUTED, when I started hearing about Shannon being a good co-host

Skip talking about his tweets were misconstrued/misinterpreted and he didn't know people were going at him until his boss called and told him to clear that shit up. Shannon was probably told to stay home because he knows as a ex NFL player people expect him to call Skip out about those tweets

He used to brag about not following anyone, so I'm sure he doesn't pay attention to his mentions. He talks in an empty room.

That's why he didn't realize it.

That's why the clean up means nothing....he meant that tweet

Two things. No doctor would EVER post a patient's information on social media. They'd lose their license, the hospital would get the shit sued out of them. My friend is a doctor, and people ask her shit all the time, and every time she'll tell them that whatever she says doesn't overrule that person's doctor because she has no medical history to base a real medical diagnosis off of.
Second thing. Why can't anti-vax people ever spell HIPAA correctly? I'm supposed to take your "expert research" seriously, and you don't know the spelling of HIPAA?!?!
