MNF: Damar Hamlin passes out after a tackle, received CPR and AED on-field, rushed to hospital in critical condition, game postponed

Skip questioned how could the NFL cancel the game when the game was so important to playoff implications.

A game of that magnitude that was crucial to the regular season outcome.

Then followed up with "Oh by the way, finishing the game seems irrelevant now".

If finishing the game was "Irrelevant" and the health of Hamlin was the most important thing.

Then completing the game, playoff implications and the magnitude of completing that game so late in the season would've never been mentioned.

But you're free to believe it's because people hate Skip, but you'd be wrong.

I agree with most of this. I said he shouldn't have mentioned finishing the game. I was trying to answer a question by another poster. I think the hate for Skip had something to do with someone of those who jumped on him. Not all or most, but definitely some were extra triggered because of the messenger. I don't think you would've seen as much anger directed toward Sharpe. Skip is a seasoned vet and should've known better.

i had a convo with someone this morning about this whole situation.......like....how would this have been handled if it happened during the Super Bowl??
with a few seconds left on the clock, the game tied, and the other team is in field goal range. Do you still cancel the game?
I think that because its not the playoffs, or a game that defines the winning of an actual title.......then this decision was definitely warranted.
I just wonder if the same would have been done in the above mentioned statement......

If that happened during the Super Bowl, Roger would've walked out

There would've been a cleanup on the 50 yard line.

The ambulance would've been in and out in a minute flat and it would've been a wrap

This my opinion... But some things gotta be bigger than the show. If the players are unified as they were last night... What is Rog and the shield gone do??? What are the sponsors gonna do??? What are the fans gonna do??? But be mad??? This wasn't an ACL, or even a concussion. A fellow player medically died on the field and needed to be brought back to life. That's the shit nightmares are made of, fuck entertainment at that point. Not coming at you. But playoffs or not. I know capitalism and shit. But everything can't be about money.

Agreed. Trump healthy as fuck. The fact that ninjas were religious DURING slavery always confirmed my atheism.
I believe in God, but I don't fuck with religion. Religion is man's belief on how to praise God like a movie based on a true story. You listen to the actual true story and realize that shit's nothing like the movie

I personally think we are all like God's reality show. Most of time he just watches us like women watch Real Housewives of wherever the fuck. Occasionally, he lends a helping hand like someone who can't sing on American Idol but amazingly gets a whole lot of votes

I'm pretty sure the NFL was ready to to finish that game last night and the players for once stood in solidarity and said fuck that, we ain't playing.

That’s interesting considering your BGOL username is named after the god of “western society” Nimrod, the Cushite aka Osiris aka Bacchus aka Dionysus

You're an idiot. Him dropping wasn't the fucking problem and wouldn't have stopped anything from happening. He was having a heart attack nitwit.
Reading comprehension is key to obtaining good understanding. Try again.
On second thought; What I was saying was that in that moment when the opposing player was going down, bracing his fall may have helped lessen further brain injury. Since Damar did suffer cardiac arrest. Whats lost in today's competitive endeavors is compassion. Even for the opposition. Dipshit!

Not sure if anyone mentioned it here cause I havent read any pages but Im surprised that all these reports keep mentioning the cardiac arrest but never mention being brain dead.

After 3-4 minutes of ur brain not getting oxygen (they said they were performing CPR for 9+ minutes), then ur technically brain dead.

I hope i wrong but my brother was on life support for a month. He was deemed brain dead and had the machine breathing for him. After a couple weeks, he was able to breath on his own without a machine but was still considered brain dead.

So it was hella confusing because they say if ur brain dead that you cant breath on your own but he was able to but they still said he was brain dead.

So I truly hope im wrong and that this situation isnt similar but from what ive read and seen on TV, i think its a strong possibility and for some reason no one mentions it.
