You're making an entirely different point than I'm making. Regardless of what they did, they're still founders of the nation. Every nation honors its founders. Personally, I don't care for any of those dead CACs but I'm not surprised they're honored in a country whose government they created.Do you live in the United States? Who is on the money? What is the capital of the United States called? There are statues of these enslavers all across the United States, there are universities named after them, there are movies and books made about them. The love of those enslavers are embedded in the fabric of the United States.
Slavery was an unmitigated evil at even a higher level, the African Holocaust lasted for over 200 years while the Jewish Holocaust lasted for 12 years. Now, Piff Piff, where is your same energy for the African Holocaust?
That being said, I still haven't heard any celebrity, unless they're on the right wing, talk about how much they love Washington and Jefferson. Any celebrity who'd do that publicly would, without a doubt, be called out for praising slave owners.
And, again, to reiterate my point; Ye is being criticised for praising Hitler as any celebrity would.
