All of this talk of Asiatic and Egypt and Moors when we SHOULD be talking about the tribes sold in the West African slave trade

Civilization started in East Africa and the people migrated to the west due to weather disasters, attackers, and the search for food.

To say that west Africans aren't from the east is fucking retarded.

You niggas get dumber by the day

every people on the planet can make that same claim but after migrating to wherever they settled those people developed their own languages, cultures, religion or offshoots etc. Why should american blacks SKIP OVER the countries, tribes and peoples we directly come from in West Africa to claim something further up the line of migration that pretty much everyone on the planet can make a claim too as well?

Black London woman asked 'where in Africa are you from' at Buckingham Palace

The Queen's close friend has been forced to quit after a Black Londoner at Buckingham Palace was reportedly asked "where part of Africa are you from?" Taking to Twitter, domestic abuse charity boss Ngozi Fulani says she was questioned about her ethnicity by a member of the royal household - believed to be Lady Susan Hussey.

The 83-year-old is one of the late Queen's most trusted friends. A palace spokesman told the Mirror an investigation has been launched. Ngozi claims the woman at first asked her: "Where do you come from?"

In a conversation that followed, the member of the household allegedly continued to ask "what nationality are you?", "where do your people come from?" and "what part of Africa are you from?" She also allegedly said: "I can see I am going to have a challenge getting you to say where you're from. When did you first come here?"

Eventually, Ngozi says she replied: "I am a British national, my parents came here in the 1950s," before the woman responded with: "Oh, I knew we'd get there in the end, you're Caribbean."

Ngozi says she then corrected her by responding with: "No, I am of African heritage, Caribbean descent and British nationality."

Lady Susan was always referred to as the “head girl” as the most senior and trusted of seven ladies in waiting who dedicated decades of their lives in service to the Queen. She is one of only three still kept on by King Charles at the Palace.

Ms Fulani was at the palace for a meeting attended by the Queen Consort and other notable royals for an event speaking on violence against women.

It was held as part of the UN’s “16 days of activism against gender-based violence”, included around 300 guests - campaigners, politicians and celebrity ambassadors - to draw attention to the ongoing crisis.

A palace spokesman said: "We take this incident extremely seriously and have investigated immediately to establish the full details. In this instance, unacceptable and deeply regrettable comments have been made. We have reached out to Ngozi Fulani on this matter, and are inviting her to discuss all elements of her experience in person if she wishes.

"In the meantime, the individual concerned would like to express her profound apologies for the hurt caused and has stepped aside from her honorary role with immediate effect.

"All members of the Household are being reminded of the diversity and inclusivity policies which they are required to uphold at all times."

its messed up because she knows descendants of the Caribbean and the Atlantic slave trade don't know precisely where they come from in Africa....and she knows exactly the reason why...old bitch

The newer theory is it started in South Africa, hence Adams calendrer, and migrated to the Nile Valley because of climate change. Kushites

Still not talking about west African tribes specifically... why is it whenever this subject comes up.... African Americans and their connection to their origins... it immediately JUMPS OVER west Africa to all over the continent. East Africa, South African... anything but west Africa.

Why is that?? No other people talk about their identity in such a manner. Asians from Japan don't include how their people migrated from the Chinese mainland.

But talk to black American and the first thing they'll mention is a people from east Africa or south Africa.

I'm gone read thru this later I'm watching the fights
I had an old(96) black woman as a patient, long story short she said Nigeria is just the port of slavery and conquered people

It's funny(not really) how a discussion about the tribes in the Atlantic slave trade devolved into Hebrew talk anyway. Why is there avoidance to talking about these peoples?
Because no one wants to be from the noble peasant class from which most of us come from.

Everyone wants to be a King or Queen of Africa which we know now were very comfortable with slavery.

Instead of honoring the class from which they came they run from their identity and try to redact it to fit a more noble and less powerless identity.

They think slaves were just all stupid people who they cant bother to be identified with, they've gotta be something greater, yearning for a grander identity.

Dude you articulated that perfectly!! THANK YOU!!

You combine what you said with the invented concepts of race and imperialism , colonialism plus white supremacy ideology AND the fact that you have a people transported to other side of the freaking planet so are cut off from their source of identity and you have a people who end up claiming anything that exhibits their features of dark skin etc.

And all that needs to done is to make that connection no matter how thin or even if it doesn't exist.

THIS...is the conversation African Americans are not psychologically prepared to have.

Now let's see how far this topic goes and if it can STAY ON TOPIC

98.9 % of Black Americans cant even trace there heritage to the plantation. More less a tribe in Africa. I say that respectably. We dont even know where our last name comes from. A lot of us dont even care. Christianity still has a stronghold on Black people in America. Me growing up in the 70's and 80's, everything African was demonized, primitive, heathen, etc. The mentality was why would I want to associate with that. I believe that was the mentality of most Black Americans , and "we" got Jesus now. My introduction to Africa through mainstream America was Egypt and South Africa, King Tut and Mandela, it was easy to start there for some. It's also easier to study the Major empires of Africa. Kemet, Kush, Aksum in the east. Zulu, Benin, Mali, Songhay, Timbuktu in the west. I'm rambling. In the movie Roots, the descendants of Kunta Kinte knew EXACTLY what tribe they come from. Past down from generation to generation. I would like to believe that first generation of enslaved did the same thing. Remind the offspring where they come from. Unfortunately that knowledge was lost.

Me personally, me studying Kem led me back to West Africa. Ancient Egypt was all up and down that Nile river. The Throne of Africa in the same way Rome was to Europe.

these points are the crunchy crux of why its so hard to have this conversation.

Its a fucking shame...talk about black americans origins and say its from egypt the thread goes 10+ pages with all kinds of theories and history... bring the SAME TOPIC but keep to WEST AFRICA and its 2 pages and of that 8 posts actually discuss the topic.

And the usual black historians dont even bother to answer the thread...probably because they cant inject egypt and east african tribes and empires into the thing so they have nothing to add. :smh::smh::smh:

That snippet you quoted was not the point. I did the DNA test. I know what tribe i'm connected to. I also know where the plantation my last name come from!

What exactly is your question?

10 Most Enslaved African Tribes

but it is the point...its the reason why African Americans dont/can't talk about the reality of their African roots.

For those that break thru like yourself..congratulations...you are not "black". You know who you are and where you come from in specific terms. And thats a great thing. The next thing is to get into the culture of your people in the motherland.

I'm not the white definition of Black. The other definition comes from The Black Power Movement. Black, the opposition of white supremacy. I hear ya though!

How dope is this post?

Even the terms Yoruba, Igbo, etc are European definitions.
Yea thats crazy. I just learned that about the "Creek Indians". European seen a bunch of people living along the creeks and thats what they was since then, Creek Indians. The MF literally remapped the whole earth with there boundaries.

And here we are hundred of years in the future confined by their imaginary walls.

That's actually not true. Most people have sold their own people into slavery.
Source please. Africas number export was slavery to other nations. And I’ve never seen Africans have slaves of other races.
And we’re not talking about endentured servitude where you work for 7 years as a bartering agreement.
