Thinking black men are progressive was always a myth, most brothers will gladly live like poor whites if they can get a woman and a job and a beer to watch the game. Liberal men who move forward most did it for women and the social benefits, alot of us really don't care a lot that though.
I'd leobah say if white America wasn't so resentful towards us alot of us will gladly upkeep stereotypes and just love how we love, mostly we move for females but with the current times and women getting bashed all day on social media alot of men kinda don't care anymore. I never believed killer Mike and his views towards politics to me it was just a move to his next hustle.

After all the bs Kemp has done that negatively affects black folks and all he has done to suppress the black vote? Seriously?
Let's just state clearly for the record what actually happened. He got treated with a lil respect from the white power structure, which made him feel like he is somebody, now suddenly policy no longer matters, and he appears to now be pro Kemp because that white approval is more important to him and what he is trying to do career wise than how the rest of the Black folk are faring in GA. Period. He appears to me to be no more than an opportunist. Like You said, just a stepping stone to his next hustle.

I get what he is saying about just wanting to be left alone to live his life with simple pleasures, but honestly voting dem is the only way to get that. Screwing over black folks and other non whites is built into the GOP vote getting strategy. That's how they keep their voters engaged: Effin with us or using us as the boogeyman coming for all things white. Dems are the ones actually wanting to let folks live and let live. They basically want everyone to have a decent wage, healthcare, affordable educational opportunities for those who desire them, a safety net should one fall upon hard times and require one, and the ability to love who you want by keeping the government out of your personal business. They can go overboard with regulations, but generally they are regulating stuff for the public good and with an eye to saving the future.
The GOP wants us out here living like its the hunger games, seeing the very top do very well, and the rest struggling for survival for their amusement and bottom line. They won't vote for ANYTHING that helps the average American, but will be the first ones taking credit when dems manage to get things done without their help.

I strongly disagree with this, if ypu can tell me black LGBT history I'll listen. Republicans literally will watch the world burn for their beliefs, democrats will literally try to change the world and train of thought for theirs, less than 2% of us are gay or teams but it's much more conversation as opposed to the actual number of people who are trans.

I can't tell you ANY LGBT history, black or other wise. There are "agenda's" I don't agree with or may make me uncomfortable to an extent, however I don't see getting for them what every one else has - work place protections, marriage equality etc, as special treatment, its bringing them up to par with everyone else is supposed to be entitled to as American citizens. Just like the equity black folks are requesting isn't special treatment, its to even out the playing field or redress past wrongs.

The upcoming changes to the ACA to make health insurance more affordable for families? The infrastructure projects because of the funding? The investments in public transit? The child tax credit that would be continuing had the GOP not blocked it?
