I don't agree with his actions, but I don't consider it rape. Based on the video, most states don't seem to consider it a criminal act. Saying someone raped a person isn't something to be taken lightly and unfortunately theses days people wouldn't say Joe stealth a woman. some would just use the term rape. Some of the comments I've read are already going in that direction. I don't even see a actual definition using the word rape. The closest I saw was something that said someone's opinion is it was rape adjacent. If you want to label it sexual assault, I could understand that.
I know a few women who were raped and calling stealthing rape belittles what they experienced. I don't want to compare but the amount of trauma true rape victims carry are alot greater than someone who was tricked into not using a condom.
Again, in no way do I approve of what Joe did nor am I making excuses for or defending his behavior.
