Fantastic trios match. For a second there I thought the United Empire was going to take it as there were some excellent near falls. The Elite pulled it out though. They'll probably face Dark Order at "All Out" as there's a storyline component with Hangman being a trios partner for Dark Order. On another note Omega looked back to his old self tonight. Smooth and fluid! Can't wait for that Omega/Ospreay match whenever it happens.

I can't see either Finals match up being as good as this match.

Reigns's championship run is so stale at this point does anybody still even care who takes the belt off of him?

Lolz yeah OK…

The Bloodline, along with Reigns’ run has been the best thing in wrestling over the last two years.

The titles MEAN something now compared to when The Fiend or Goldberg or Strowmam had the Universal Championship….

I liked Lashley as WWE champ, but Reigns holding both makes him look like a legit champion, one who actually looks and acts the part.

You ain’t seeing that in AEW.

I mean, the title being defended by 3 to 4 people at any given time has gotten beyond old. Only match I can remember Roman winning straight up with no help was when he beat Sami on smackdown.

*Elimination Chamber vs Goldberg

Brock and Seth (maybe Cody) are the only people I care about challenging for the main title(s). If they're not in the picture, I'm not too inclined to care.

Yep, and look at AEW during that time period.
Their current champion is a guy who fights in outlaw mudshows on the weekends against bank robbers and guys who jack themselves off in the ring.
The previous champion (Punk) is a guy that at least half their audience seems to be turning on now.
Before that you had the weakest champion (Hangman) I can ever remember.

Some major sports don't bring in the stigma that wrestling brings in.....

BTW, which networks? It won't be any tied to NBC/Universal. And if Warner/Discovery pulls the plug, who's left? Paramount? AEW isn't going on to be picked up by CBS. MTV, CMT, BET, Comedy Central? I just don't see it. AEW might end up on Pluto TV....

There aren't too many networks that 1) have done prime time wrestling and 2) would jump into prime time wrestling with a second rate promotion that (could be) struggling to stay on television.

If it ain't WWE, not too many networks outside of TNT/TBS will touch wrestling.

And I don't see Triple H doing a cross promotion show with them, I mean why would he/WWE do it? What's in it for WWE?
Lolz

CMPunk is the draw

Even fox executives was furious he went to AEW instead of smackdown

AEW does alright for there gate.

Especially in chicago

Can't we all just get along?

If it were only that simple. Humans by nature are going to complain about something they don't like which leads to arguments and therefore leads to the gatekeeping of my promotion is better than your promotion and if it's not done the way I want you to do it then you're mudshow or garbage or amateur hour. People just can't enjoy the dynamics of WRESTLING which is what this is supposed to be about. Who cares if it's not done the WWE way, AEW way, New Japan way or whatever way. Just enjoy the wrestling.

I got a feeling they announcer Braun to throw off the IWC but the surprise will be he's accompanied by Bray Wyatt. Do you hold back Sasha and Naomi and give them their own pop. Or make a splash in both the Men's and Women's division. Have Alexis turn on Bianca and join Bayley with Dakota and Io. Then have Sasha and Naomi with the rescue

Agreed. I was just thinking last night about how tribalism as a concept is goofy as hell.

It's really people out here who think they're better than you because of the type of wrestling they watch, or what game console they have, or what rappers they like, etc., - and will go to bat to defend their preference and pull everybody into all these useless ass arguments just so they can feel like they won some shit.

And it's not just wrestling. Tribalism is in like every industry, but I feel like it's the dorkiest in wrestling fandom. Because wrestling fans go to the extent of like following business analytics and shit to argue which is better. Like people who prefer Coke over Pepsi - do they listen to quartely calls and scan pie charts for merchandise and shit to determine which one is better, or do people just pick the one that tastes better to them?

Honestly halfthe internet has never gotten over Punk leaving the WWE and have been against him the entire time that he's been back. The supposed backstage stuff has just added for more fuel to their fire.
And honestly Omega's run wasn't that great either. They did the whole belt collector thing but his antics with Callis were more cringey than anything else, he and the Bucks were cornballs and the additions of Michael Nakazawa and Brandon Cutler just made it even goofier. There were some quality matches in there but there also was the horrible exploding ring crap as well.
