Yeah Melyssa, with her fine ass, seems real down to earth....I liked when she was on the Joe Budden pod a few weeks ago.
I used to listen to the show regularly on my morning commutes to work.
Ever since the pandemic and I started working from home, I don't listen anymore (along with most other radio).
I know during the pandemic they were each broadcasting remotely from their homes.
I don't miss all the gossip from the show and particularly Yee. Not sure how her new show will be.
I'm guessing it will cater to women who like all the gossip.
I'm wondering if they will even replace her on the show and just have CTG and Envy as a duo.
I'm happy for her getting her own show but is that really what the public and listeners wanted?

To be fair, the pod is geared toward women. Most men wouldn't be interested in most of the discussion they would have on the pod.

How many men watch the View and other day time talk shows geared toward women? Do men not watching the show stop them from being successful? Without knowing what the focus of the show will be, we can't say if men will tune in or not. However, the core demo may not be men and men may not be needed.
I don't watch Lip Service, but im going to assume she leads overall. Being the weakest link one place doesn't mean you are the weakest everywhere. Sometimes if you work with a superstar you're going to look like a bum. That doesn't mean you aren't talented in your own right. Clearly her numbers from Lip Service and the old Serious show were good enough to warrant the risk. She's shown the ability to draw some form of an audience Iheart was interested in getting the listeners.

First I'm not taking your comments as sexist. The core of your comments are around your thoughts on Yee's ability to pull in a large audience for a syndicated show. I introduced the idea of her core audience being women right or wrong.
I'm sure they'd love if Yee would turn into another Breakfast Club, but they probably aren't looking for those numbers. They already have projected numbers they expect from the shows and I'd hope they are realistically based on her other work outside of the Breakfast Club. Iheart could just want the current numbers from Lip Service on their platform. If you just meant why allow her to leave the Breakfast Club at all and potentially hurt the show, I agree given I believe chemistry isn't easily replaced.
As for Envy, we know he does real-estate investment. The Earn Your Leisure pod has shown there is a desire for that type of content especially from minorities. Not saying Envy would be successful but attempting to build a show around that for Envy may work better than the traditional music lane.

She's not a new face and she already has podcasts and YouTube shows that are not huge. I don't see her having a radio show being huge, garnering the same level and definitely not more interest than TBC.
But she wants her branch off and have her own show that's all her and I respect it. It doesn't make sense to me to leave TBC to have her own show that won't be nearly as successful.
I could be wrong at the same token, she's been wanting her own show so I'm not mad at her.
