The breakfast club (DJ Envy, CthaGod, and Angela Yee) as you know it is officially over

I said trio and chemistry.. Rodman wasn’t on jordan level or pippen but he served a roll that made them combined a deadly force to reckon with.. yee obviously served a purpose for the fact she been around for 10 yrs never was replaced and obviously had something that added to that squad
But homie, you're making my point for me, Charlamagne Tha God being the Jordan figure had more leverage than Rodman & that's the same with the Breakfast Club, where is Angela Yee's leverage? Who is clamoring to hire her at more than her current salary, huh? She was expendable.

Jordan and pippen didn’t win a chip without an exceptional rebounder.. if Rodman needed more money he would’ve got paid it cause the bulls knew they needed that extra piece to get them over the top.. if you the bulls and Rodman asked for a 10-20 percent raise to give you a guaranteed chip are you gonna give it to him or say fuck it we don’t need no more rings?

oh wait Krause kinda did that and the bulls haven’t won since

will this be breakfast club faith also

We are talking the Most Valuable Person which is Charlamagne Tha God, and the Bulls it was Michael Jordan, they knew they could build a team around Jordan. & it's the same with the Breakfast Club, can you build a new Breakfast Club around Angela Yee? Nooooooo. They are going to build it around Charlamagne Tha God, he is the bedrock of the show like Job Budden is the bedrock of his show. Charlamagne Tha God has all of the leverage.

We not comparing the two..we are saying she serves a purpose.. and to only offer her the same amount of money when everybody in the entertainment biz is getting raises is a smack in the face..her being there 10 yrs should automatically jump up her pay..but somehow you think her money should stay the same and she should be happy..nig you wouldn’t even allow your job to do that shit to you

We are comparing the two, in talking about leverage you have to compare what people bring to the table, that's just business. & you saying "her being there 10 yrs should automatically jump up her pay" is not good business in entertainment, it's not merit based. It's about what types of audiences are you bringing in, and what type of platforms do you have that people view. That's it. & then you said to me "somehow you think her money should stay the same and she should be happy," it's not about what I want, it's what her leverage is, that's what you don't seem to understand.

Naw chick is funny. She roasts those two all day. They mad gay. They flirt with each other for the whole show. I mean Envy and Charlemagne be flirting heavy.
Yee is hilarious? For real?

Oh ok, well, she was decent on her sex podcast, I peeped it a couple of times.

i'd hate to see either of them go but if so hell... ten years is a great run. if its yee ......truthfully they can just bring in another cool as the pillow round the way type chick in to replace her. charlamagne and envy are a little different to replace. not everybody can do the amount of shit talking they do and people still gel with it

Everybody pay goes up..that’s actually a natural thing in the entertainment biz especially for longevity..notice on tv shows, radio after certain amount of yrs contracts are renewed and the money goes up..for you to think otherwise is crazy..that’s like thinking the people on friends or Seinfeld was gonna be paid their last yr the same money they got on their first yr.. like I said money natural goes up.. for them to offer her the same exact contract is a crime..that’s why she was sad cause it was utter bullshit.. if that’s the reason she is out or why breakfast club ends watch how mad people slaughter the suits for their response.. everybody in the industry gonna look at them sideways..cause that’s very bad bizzness

Homie, if you want to believe the Entertainment business is merit-based and the longer you're in the business, the more you get paid, that's on you. You're really treating the Entertainment business like a person who works at pension-based office job, a person whose merit and pay can increase with time. When in reality, those who get paid the most are the ones with the most leverage: for example, singer Katy Perry had much less experience as the previous judges of American Idol, but guess what they paid her? $25 million per season. Why did they paid her that much, was it merit based? No. Was it how long she's been on her judging job? No. It was because she had the leverage and the show knew she would bring-in viewers, hence the $25 million per season. So, it's not about a natural progression in salary, it's about what the market will bear in terms of your leverage.

its obvious some individuals get paid for their popularity or how much they make for a company... never did I say that.. anybody knows I would know this and have said this on here b4.. you keep bringing up the popularity convo and leverage.. im bringing up the pay raises that individuals get for being on shows, series, radio when contracts are renewed.. this happens all the time..you keep trying to argue against truth and what’s been going on for yrs.. people money rises naturally overtime especially with renewals.. them not doing this is bullshit period.. you keep shitting on her cause you don’t personally like her or see value in her.. im going off of just natural contract negotiations.. oh yeah being that I’m currently dealing with a series it has already been discussed about a money increase if a particular show gets ok for future seasons.. that’s natural progression in this game

I was thinking the same thing. I like yee, but there's nothing that she contributes outside of Envy and Charlemagne discussions over her rumor reports. The interviews I watch: it's mostly Charlemagne and Envy asking the questions. "Drop one of Clue's bombs for Yee!"

The pay raises in terms of the Breakfast Club are related to the leverage that they have, that's what you don't understand. Again, if you want to believe in the natural merit system for the entertainment business, that's on you.

You keep saying merit system.. when it’s just part of the renewal and negotiation process.. it’s why nba players don’t get paid the same salaries as the 80s.. magic Johnson , kareem are all time greats are better than 99 percent of todays players.. but due to the natural renewal and negotiation process today players make more even though they are not as talented or valuable as them dudes.. it’s part of the natural process.. if you can’t comprehend or understand that concept than that’s on you

I think it’s Yee, she spoke about her contract end coming up a few months ago. I guess they don’t want to pay her what she wants.

Edit: Adding video of her talking about her iHeart contract, time stamp: 13:38

What does she really bring though? A female POV?

C-Tha God is the most interesting of the 3 by far, but I think they work good together, because too much Charlemagne might be too much. You dig?

I dunno how yee could ever trust charla after this

What a minute
.

.what the fuck is this from?!

And yeah that is some snake ass shit from Charla......

Let Gucci call envy Pussy and Angela a bitch....

You gotta hold the team down.

I briefly recall them discussing beef with Gucci and Angela saying even though he is not "banned," she only wanted an apology and no interview.......

I could be way off on that last part

Basically but when Envy is out Yee and Charla have pretty good chemistry. IMO Envy is the weakest link, can't interview for shit and asks the dumbest questions.

We are not talking about the NBA, we're talking about The Breakfast Club and their leverage for payment, you want to switch the subject to something else. & again, Angela Yee didn't have levage so she could not continue her career. So you want to pay her for her years for being on the show? You're living in a fairy tale! Plus you're discounting popularity, IT IS THE ENTERTAINMENT BUSINESS!!! With your popularity can come money, because eyes are on them, it's not about merit and how long you've been there.

I keep giving examples of entertainment and pointing out diff situations that all come to the same conclusion all entities pay higher when it comes to contract renewals and negotiations.. todays price is not yesterday price literally is a concept that pretty much explains that.. shit like the minimum wage going up over time explains why that is.,everything around you explains why that is..but you want to go against it.. keep bringing up popularity and other shit that has nothing to do with the inevitable pay hike that occurs with renewal of contracts.. if you want to agree with the Jew man about keeping someone pay the same while everybody else’s go up than that’s fine..just say that..just say you don’t want her to get a pay raise..im just explaining the inevitable of pay raises when it comes to negotiations

What you're doing is creating red herrings, you're not staying on the subject. Instead of staying on the Breakfast Club, you're bringing up random things that has nothing to do with leverage in the entertainment business. Then you say, "inevitable pay hike that occurs with renewal of contracts," my point is that it's NOT evitable, it's about what you can negotiate and the power to negotiate is based on leverage.

To me her levage is their chemistry. Personally, I feel Yee is the weak link but clearly they work well as a unit. Yee also has her own fanbase that she brings into the show. Im going to also assume there are artist that don't fuck with Charlemagne or Envy that will show up for Yee. There are also times where it seems like Yee keeps Charlemagne and Envy together. Charlemagne is the type who doesn't know when to stop fucking with people and Envy easily gets in his feelings. Yee may add to the problem but she also helps to relieve some of that pressure as well. You could replace Yee with Beyonce but if she doesn't gel with Charlemagne and Envy the show will not work.

To me the show is living off of its brand and not the quality of the show. The brand is all three members. Even if you believe Charlemagne is the star, he isn't the same Charlemagne from the past. He plays it more safe given his current role in the space. Because of this they would need to replace Yee with someone who not only had chemistry but was entertaining. It's not impossible to do but it is not an easy task.

Using the Joe Budden podcast as an example. Some people wouldn't even give the new host a chance once Rory and Mal left. It didn't matter that Joe was the star. People liked that team and their chemistry.some people even wanted the new version to fail. It is taking alot to get those fans back and build the needed chemistry to keep the people who stayed. So far, Joe seems to have been lucky but that isn't always the case. What seems to be working in this instance is Ice and Ish are Joe's friends but they also challenge him more than Rory and Mal.

Joe clearly works for himself and is willing to invest the time to earn his old viewers back. Iheart probably aren't interested in paying top talent to join the show and they aren't likely to keep a failing show for long while chemistry is being developed. Assuming this isn't just a play to get rid of the Breakfast Club, Yee does have the chemistry of the show as some degree of levage.

When it’s all said and done if the breakfast club dosent continue without yee than it clearly will show her importance and it clearly will show she deserved a pay hike.. no need to go back and forth let’s see if this show will still exist in a few months.. than there will be no more speculations just truth

& let's see then, time will tell. & we'll both come back to this thread and talk about it.

To you, her leverage is their chemistry. To iHeart radio, her leverage is not there and can be replaced when she demands a higher salary.

Using Joe again, Complex thought they could replace him on Everyday Struggle. How did that work out for them long-term?

Who is to say the other two will stay long-term without her? You're correct in believing that iheart are undervaluing Yee's contribution to the brand.or they are just ok with putting out a cheaper product regardless of the impact to the show.
