Oh god make it stop… predator prequel “prey”..predator vs native Americans

That’s because he prolly hasn’t seen it done yet to copy it

this takes place in 1700s

ain’t no telling what he seen since the 1700s to Arnold
Predators hunted b4 they came to earth.. they didn’t just start skinning things and using weapons once they hit our planet..they been killing shit

They're WAY too short to fight a Predator

Has Predator ever faced off against a human that was it's height?

Yeah large bills love training day 2 aka predator 2..Danny glover was a corrupted cop getting pissed off that an alien crime fighter was cleaning the mean streets of la.. glover out in alleys meeting up with the Jamaicans doing back alley deals.. glover put out a hit on the hero alien saving la.. glover was the real bad guy.. worst bad guy since color purple.
Church shoes and slacks are to predators

as coats to Mother Nature

AYOOOOOOOOOO

:roflmao:  :roflmao:

This trailer was better

That should have been the ONLY trailer used

Took it back to the basics...

They need to make this an Anthropology Series with different time periods and locations...

Egyptian.... Viking... Romans... Shit A Red Dead Redemption version...

Hell give us a Predator vs Wolverine "What If...." crossover... Lol
This was damn good. I enjoyed it and I’m very picky. Second best one after the OG version

In retrospect, the 1st Predator movie was too cowboy-ish

It was VERY good prequel. She's a dope hunter and battle-tested warrior when in her zone with no distractions. Her brother gave the Predator a serious run for it's money too. I like how she used the Predator's perception of her to her advantage.
Glad I watched it for myself instead of taking the "No Ma'am" club at face value

Any time an, action flick has a woman in it take BGOL with a grain of salt. Dudes in here get mad seeing women in the screen.

Nah all the Predators are super tall.

Fam, the comments in here are hilarious AF from the blind comments based SOLELY on the trailer. Then other comments talking shit about her being a more prepared warrior with an axe and agility ("beaver slides") compared to Danny's slacks and stacy adams in the Predator 2  :roflmao:

The original actor in the predator (after van dame) was this tall black actor..I know he was on the show 227 and other small parts..think he died early 90s.. so pretty much the tall predator theme been solidify

How did they get it back if her tribe had it at the end? Maybe they came back and smoked her.
I actually laughed when I saw that part cause I was like in order for the predator to have it in predator 2 means they went back and got it, I dont think they went back in peace lol.. I literally watched that part smiling with a dark laughter like they came back and killed that tribe off

This was much better than I thought it would be. I wouldn't call it a reboot though.
It seems more like a project that was mostly competed by Fox before the merger and Disney said, "fuck it, release it on streaming so we can make some money off this." I doubt they have plans to continue the storyline with any of these characters.

That is honestly my main gripe with the entire franchise. I really liked the Adrien Brody movie 'Predators' and thought they could have kept going in that direction with the story. But they never continue with what they start. It's just like the Terminator franchise. It's hard to buy into long term storytelling when you just know that the next movie will be another 'reboot'.

They basically throwing shit at a dart board and seeing what sticks.
  • Predator - direct hit
  • Predator 2 - good hit but slightly off center
  • AvP - nice throw but a miss nonetheless
  • AvP 2 - never even came close to the board
  • Predators - direct hit
  • The Predator - another throw so far from the target at the dart went out a window
  • Prey - good hit but slightly off center again
i see what you did there... i agree... my sentiments exactly.

or the Indians could have traded it for some shit the white man had... and the alien later showed up and killed the white people and took it as a souvenir and gave it to Danny. My point is.. who gives a fuck. A whole movie can be built around the concept.. it's just a fill in the blanks type of exercise. It can be whatever you want it to be.

I ain’t readin way back, but is it the same gun they gave Danny

I can’t see her failing at hunt and all of a sudden being clutch killing the Predator.
She didn't fail tho. She injured the mountain lion and her brother finished it off. The fight with the mountain lion was foreshadowing and analogous to the Predator fight. During her brother's fight with Predator she saw the flaws in how it's weapons worked and created a strategy around that to defeat him.

In the post credit scene the animation shows an alien ship returning out of the clouds over the Indians camp, implying the aliens probably attacked again.

We know this..we saying somehow the predators got it back.. we thinking somebody had to get slaughter for the predator to reclaim the prize.. the happy ending isn’t so happy when you look at it that way.. predator laughing gif

Probably returned to reward the warrior for winning the hunt. Then exchanged trophies.

Watched it this afternoon.

Pretty good movie. It gave good props to the Comanche nation depicting them.

This movie took place in the 1700s. Looking at some of the hardware the Predator was using, he really didn’t have to much heavy firepower. It’s possible this Predator was new and had not earned more reliable weapons.

I loved the scene with the bear. That played out good showing the Predator going full blows with the bear.

The girl wasn’t able to take the Predator on one on one obviously, she basically had to outsmart him. I suspect this Predator must be young and experienced, he may have been going thru a test to earn his status or something.

I liked what she did with the Tomahawk having the rope attached to it. The other dudes clowned her for it, but she showed how useful it is.

One thing that threw me off was the language they were speaking. I had assumed they were speaking Comanche thru-out the film, when she confronted the Frenchmen, she was able to communicate with some of them. Not sure if that was a error, but from how things played out earlier, she seemed to be unaware of White folks in the area. Maybe I missed something.

The film played out better than I expected. It was enjoyable and kept me glued to the screen from start to finish. No dull moment.

Looking forward to what Disney plans with the franchise.

I'd like to see a second Prey film that takes place in the original jungle from the first film. Remember in the first film, when the rebel Ana tells Dutch of the stories from her childhood, the folk legends of a "demon" that, during hot summers, would kill people and horribly mutilate their corpses as trophies.

I'd like to see a film that goes back to the jungle somehow....but one where the Predator WINS. Lolz

Dog that height difference is A LOT compared to modern men. Average height for Aztec men was 5'2!

But fam, height means nothing when impaling an adversary, weaponizing your environment, and out witting an opponent. A historical example would be when Haiti won it's Independence in the early 1800's. Despite being vastly outmanned and out gunned, the Haitians weaponized their environment and used better military strategy. Her being a warrior helped, but overall, she used better strategy.

On a side note, considering it was the commanche, horses should have been used more IMHO.

Yes, but it didn't show when that took place. it seemed to me a future event. also it could have mean that now they know what too look for, so when the alien returned to earth, they understand what to look for.

Yo, she stabbed him with his own tooth. Cheating ass homo sapiens.
This is the almost as good as the first film. I am pleasantly surprised at how much I like this better than ALL the recent iterations .
The pacing is great.

To make up for the strength, size and weaponry deficit, so she dialed in some cheat codes

This predator had a shield..no other predator had 1..imagine how easy it would have been to kill off every1 in part 1 and 2 if the predator could block bullets..than on top of that it’s able to cut shit into pieces.. also he had a whole tool case of spinning metal pieces that damn near killed off every cac when he left it on the ground… than he had that screw shit that could turn into sharp circle shit.. this nig had mad weapons the first 2 predator had.. hell this 1 even had the net that slices people up that wasn’t introduced until the second film.. it was mad weapons use in this.. nig had spears that split up, fucking spear arrows.
