{The Official 2021-22 NBA Thread} - Finals: Warriors vs Celtics…{4-2 advantage warriors } Dubs NBA champs, Curry MVP

I think most basketball heads knew this about the Nets at the start of the season.

The Heat triple threat was the experiment. It took them at least a year to figure that out, but they all bought in and stay together.

The Nets were never really together, therefore they weren’t a team you could hang on to until they actually did something.

I wish Charlotte had done it...we got two first round pics this year and that would bring Christian Wood back to where he started..could have thrown Gordon Hayward in for good measure.. :smh:

Man, I worry Charlotte ain’t going to do shit this off season.

Hayward got to go because he isn’t ever going to play a full season again. I’m cool with letting Oubre go too.

Im torn if they should keep scary Terry because he’s their big shot taker and maker. But they absolutely can not rely on Bridges to be their leading and main scorer. That isn’t him.

Charlotte got a lot of pieces to get a solid guy in there.

Bridges is about to get paid...the question is how much..I like Oubre when he's on...I think Bouknight is going to need another season or two to really start to contribute so I'm fine with keeping Terry for now

I think Bouknight is out when he get the chance. I don’t think he is feeling playing behind Melo and Terry.

Him and JB seem to not get along. I can’t imagine his rotation will change with the new coach.

Well hopefully Atkinson and Bouknight get along better, i could see Atkinson trying to compare him to Jordan Poole, but its going to take him another year, he needs to add some weight

Same thing with Kai Jones; though I like the things I've heard about him playing in the G-League, JT thor might be pretty good as well, they just need PT

I'm just glad the Hornets didn't' hear D'Antoni :money:

I agree with Skip, "I've taken it as far as I can.." that dont even sound like something Skip would say and I watch him and Shannon just about every day....I dont care for Skip, but Shannon is good and their banter back and forth is good TV when they aren't entrenched in their own takes..(IE Lebron is the GOAT from Shannon and Skip's wild takes on Baker)

That video about three years old tho. But for shits and giggles let's breakdown the three years since this video

Year one: No KD, Kyrie has shoulder surgery 35 games into the season and Covid happens

Year two: KD's back, we lose Dinwiddie the third game into the season.. we acquire Harden but give up our depth in Jarrett Allen (all star), Caris LeVert (quality starter) and Taurean Prince (solid rotational player).

We get to the playoffs and gentlemen sweep Boston and go up 2-1 on Milwaukee with an injured Harden and injured Kyrie. We push it to seven and the foot shit happens.

Year three: Kyrie decides not to get vaccinated, forcing him out the first half of the season. Harden starts to bitch from the beginning of the season and lose all of his athleticism forcing a trade. We lose white boy Joe 12 games into the season. KD gets injured 30 games into the season as we sit at number two in the standings. Shits a shit show the rest of the season with Simmons bitching out and Nash getting outclassed in every game by his former assistant.

So to say we weren't really all together could be like saying the Clippers weren't really all together when the truth is injuries debilitate both franchises.

No team wins when their main guys aren't consistently on the court

Man, Thor needs a lot more playing time. I was disappointed JB didn’t try him out more. He could be a nice presence inside.

And right about D’Foni. He didn’t need that disaster happening.

Yeah, that was my point.

Same with the Clippers when Leonard got there before the injuries started to happen. I definitely wasn’t sold on them just because Leonard and PG got together.

I’m not sold on a team until they prove otherwise. There was too much going on in Brooklyn over these last three years. The three guys brought in never played over 20 games together. Y’all never had any time to develop any chemistry.

Same with the Heat and the same with the Cavs when Lebron returned. The 2006 Heat and the 2009 Celtics are the only two teams to pulled that “put together a team for a season” and win a title ish.

All other championship teams needs time to build some type of chemistry.

@Mack1052 @dik cashmere

Now shouldn't this basically call into question EVERYTHING SAS HAS EVER SAID?

First off, Durant is like a petty bitch :smh:

Secondly, I don't think SAS was trying to say that. I thought he was very complimentary of Skip.

Skip has this bombastic over the top cadence that screams of fake staged outrage. It's so tough to listen to him.
He always comes off so fake and rehearsed.

I just dont buy it. I think SAS has a miscommunication on what Skip said because i just can't see Skip saying that he's taken it as far as he can..i will say this though, that was a match made in heaven (SAS and Skip)
