@Gazoo Unfortunately, this isn't 100 straight days for me without missing a day. I stepped away for a few weeks toward the beginning, and since I came back, I accrued a streak of 80. So it's 100 cumulative days of winning. I'm hoping next month for that daily streak of 80 to be 100.

I've always really liked word games. Been playing timed word games on a 4x4 grid (Word Blitz, Wordament, Word Womp, etc) for 20 years. I did grow up playing boggle, scrabble and Monopoly. I like Jeopardy and trivia games too. With most games, I like trying to figure out the code to winning. So for decades, I didn't buy a console system. I knew I'd have ended up cocooned and obsessed with winning, instead of pursuing advancement outside of games. So NBA 2K, for example or FPS shooters, I mostly played on Apple device. I like stuff nowadays I can play on the fly.

I played Scrabble and used to do about 4-5 crosswords a day YEARS ago, I mean back in my lurking days.
I may have played Boggle twice in the past but I like Jeopardy and my wife was a Wheel of Fortune fanatic.

Wheel of Fortune is a cool game. Maybe I'll try to catch it this evening, it's been years. That's cool that you studied the dictionary. for vocabulary words. I don't think a lot of folks do that. I had a teacher in the 6th grade who had us get little file boxes and index cards for vocabulary words- a new one each week. I kept doing it even after 6th.

A lot of parents nowadays don't know how important it is to establish a love for books into their children early. I'm thankful that when I was very small my Mom treated a trip to the library like a trip to the movies or to get ice cream.

I tried out about 25 years ago. It was basically a cattle call in Atlantic City. Like, 4M people showed up. I didn't make it!

I could've been a contenduh baby!

I was unbeaten against my circle of friends, but that's a small fishbowl.

What other games do you all play?

The only word game that I remember consistently playing while growing up was Scrabble, and I loved it. We had many board games in the house, Scrabble being one of my favorites, and I won more than I lost. In general board and card games are something that I enjoy because it was always part of my family experience. Whether it be my siblings, parents, grandparents, or cousins, playing games together was a constant. Me and pops still play dominoes at least twice a month.

I'd say I'm like you in that I try to "crack the code" that will make me most successful when it comes to games. I definitely feel I was able to figure out a method that works for me with Wordle, Quordle, etc., now one of my favorite parts of playing Wordle is reading the Wordlebot's assestment of my guesses. It let's me know my system works

When it comes to video games, I had an Atari 2600, and I've pretty much had one console or another since '84 or '85. I can get heavily immersed in the games while I'm playing, but I've never had a problem putting the controller down and going to do other things.
