Generations after us really missed out on that family bonding over board games. Your house sounds a lot like mine growing up. I remember eating dinner at the table and then watching tv together. Sometimes the card table would come out along with Scrabble, Chinese checkers, Aggravation, Boggle or Sorry. That's cool that you still have your dad and you guys get to do dominoes. Treasure those moments. The only word game that I remember consistently playing while growing up was Scrabble, and I loved it. We had many board games in the house, Scrabble being one of my favorites, and I won more than I lost. In general board and card games are something that I enjoy because it was always part of my family experience. Whether it be my siblings, parents, grandparents, or cousins, playing games together was a constant. Me and pops still play dominoes at least twice a month.
I'd say I'm like you in that I try to "crack the code" that will make me most successful when it comes to games. I definitely feel I was able to figure out a method that works for me with Wordle, Quordle, etc., now one of my favorite parts of playing Wordle is reading the Wordlebot's assestment of my guesses. It let's me know my system works
When it comes to video games, I had an Atari 2600, and I've pretty much had one console or another since '84 or '85. I can get heavily immersed in the games while I'm playing, but I've never had a problem putting the controller down and going to do other things.
Sedecordle is the most entertaining to me. Wordle, I think, is the more challenging one and I like Worldle for that reason as well.Generations after us really missed out on that family bonding over board games. Like you I had an Atari 2600. Before that, Duck Hunt.Much later Atari Jaguar, if you can even remember that one. Which one of these games from this thread do you enjoy most? My joint is Sedecordle. Second to that, Heardle...just because after I play it, I let my lady play it just so I can be amazed at her skills lol.
I agree with you about Sedecordle, Wordle and Worldle. To be honest, I'm not sure I understand what I'm seeing when I see Octordle results. I can tell if someone lost lol. I know it has to be simple. For some reason it eludes me.Sedecordle is the most entertaining to me. Wordle, I think, is the more challenging one and I like Worldle for that reason as well.
I like Octordle but I don't think they should discount the guesses beyond 9. If you don't have a correct answer for the first two, there's NO WAY you can solve them all in under 9 to have a perfect game. That's why I show my results for 10-13...I finished the damn game, why not count them? The creators need to fix that IMO.
On Quordle, I'd never heard that word either.Wordle 343 4/6 122/95%/23/59 Skill 89/ Luck 59

I misspoke the other day, I should've said "at least twice a month my dad gives me domino lessons."It's great though, and yesterday I was able to get up from the table holding my arms up like I was Rocky.
I'd say my favorite of the "dle" games is Octordle,I just don't play everyday. Sedecordle is fun, but I like being able to see all of the words at once.

LOL I hear you. You're right too about it being more convenient to see all the words at once. Still, I'd love it there were a 32 word version lol.I misspoke the other day, I should've said "at least twice a month my dad gives me domino lessons."It's great though, and yesterday I was able to get up from the table holding my arms up like I was Rocky.

It was actually @MackInTraining but I never really paid THAT much attention to the (drum) intro either so we were all in the same boat.STATISTICS
