The big difference is wealthy people don't have to personally flaunt their wealth because they're comfortable with their riches and everyone knows their situation.... however ..... 'wanna be rich folks' have to constantly give the impression that their wealthy by showing off expensive stuff they can't easily afford.

My close fam works as HR Director at a tech company. She sees everyone's salary. We bumped into two people that worked there, they were a married couple, they both were making 300K. Their shoes were worn out fucked up looking asics. I woudn't be caught dead with them joints on. Black people put way too much emphasis on looking cool, fresh, new, modern, trendy. Mofos out here wearing $250 jordans for store runs and to the gym to be cute. Its comical. And don't get me wrong, I"m the same too.
Sketchers are comfortable as fuck. Especially when my plantar fasciitis tried to make a come back.
It aint black people who are buying all the designer shoes and handbags fam. White people who make six figures spend their money on dumb shit just like everyone else.
Let me ask you a question and everyone else. How many sketchers you got? How many sketchers you see in your immediate circle? How many $250 Jordans though? I know white folks buy big, my point is people that can't afford big, buy big. On average, white folks make a lot more than your avg black person, on average. I see moms with new borns wearing jordans, For what? why spend that extra money for something they will outgrow in a matter of weeks. Its silly fam. My blood family does the same, Jordans and nike jump suits for 2 and 3 year olds and they be semi-poor working security jobs at some high rise.
