Serious question about BGOL's aging demographics

I had a question about the median age of posters on here and the future of BGOL. I've been actively posting on here since I finished college in 2007. Now I'm nearly 40 and there are tons of posters on here that are way older than me. My question is are there any plans to attract younger posters that will bridge the gap for the next 20 years? Let's face it, in 20 years, most people on here will be in their 60s, 70s and 80s. I'm not a member of the Coli, but it reminds me of how popping BGOL was back when everyone was younger. Is there a concerted effort to bring in a new generation or will the board just crumble after all the members die out or just get too old to care about coming here? What's the plan?
 
seriously though you are right sadly message boards are like FB older folks use it and the youngins are like

On a serious note, that’s a good question.

The Coli’s ok but there’s only one BGOL. We will need newer younger members to join over the years but I’m not sure how to attract them?

We currently have over 111k members, I guess it’s important to find out how they got here?

I'll take this message board over Snapface or all those other apps anyday!! That shit is so intrusive and easy to send out the wrong info. There are so many fucking apps to communicate with, I can't keep up.

@HNIC What is the longevity game plan for BGOL going into the next 20 years? I have been here since 2000 and have noticed a significant decline in posting activity and usership compared to the peak days of the mid-to-late 2000s. The attrition and retention rate needs to level off so that the scale does not tip in favor of further activity decline. I understand many older heads may not relate to the posting style of young heads, but their recruitment and participation are necessary for continuation.

I strongly believe in mentoring and advising the next generation of porn watchers, MP3 pirates, streaming thieves, political debaters, ADOS, and non-coons to our wise ways.

We've built something special here and I would hate to see it fizzle off due to us either aging, dying, retiring, etc.

How’d you get here, we’re you “Recruited”?

Just curious. You’re correct but I don’t think most were recruited here, just like other message boards they found it.

I was just talking to an old veteran small business owner about something like this. I asked him if he had a contingency plan for when he died. He was 79 and still working.

Respect, man. I'm retiring in 8 years. I'll have 30 years of government and military service at 53.

Also. I'm about to be upgraded to 100 military disability, so I'll be good.

Older folks should think about a contingency plan for their businesses and business matters

People that need and want to be a part of bgol will find a way to be....

But we definitely don't need to invite those cats....

That’s crazy I got t her from SOHH!

I was on SOHH and I don’t even remember the thread\post on how I go here.

Once I got here I’ve never looked back.

I don’t even remember what happened to SOHH but I joined Coli a couple of years back just to check it out.

I browse but post sparingly, it’s not the same. I know that nothing’s the same but you might be right about the toxicity. It also isn’t as personal, plus too many faggits :lol:

That's the thing, but none of us are that young anymore.
Hence why I'm asking what the solution is to bring in more youth.
Yes its toxic but you need people who are both wit and against the grain to keep shit interesting. :dunno:

I know this is slightly off topic, but your comment about "a woman actually looked like a woman," had me laughing. One of my former female coworkers had a very close cut (Think Jada Pinkett at the Academy Awards). She told me that her son (early 20s) was standing outside telling jokes with the fellas. Her son said something about someone mother and his friend told him:

"I went to the barbershop to get a fresh cut, and the barber asked me what would I like. I looked on the wall to check out the different styles and your mom's picture was on the wall as the number 7."
