Discussion: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness - confirmed Sam Raimi directing UPDATE: REVIEWS!

I think the most hurtful shit for me was the cameos. I think I came in overhyped. I thought this shit was gonna be on some Endgame/Infinity War level. Hell, I at least thought Spiderman like alright we got a Daredevil cameo, we got Tobey and the other cat. Jamie Foxx came back.

They go to that alternative universe and I expected to see introduction to mutants and other characters. I might need to watch it again to appreciate it because they did some good things.
They told us mutants exist without us without having to tell us that mutants exist. Now they pretty much can skip the origin story's for most characters. But I get what you saying.

That's what happens when expectations are built and y'all consume all these speculatory videos based on unfounded theories from these YouTube geeks boostin' y'all up to believe all these cameos would happen. Folks got spoiled and now y'all let down cause none of that shit turned out to be true.

Folks went as far as saying Deadpool or Tom Cruise as Superior Ironman would show up with no proof or factual basis. :smh::lol:

Enjoyed it a lot. Loved the cameos, especially knowing they were basically variants. Looking forward to seeing the MCU take on the F4 and X-Men.

I grinned ear to ear when Professor Xavier rolled in and the classic X-Men Animated series theme music played.....

Idk about most folks experience but when Patrick Stewart rolled out (all pun intended) on screen, the whole theater gasped and applauded. I really enjoyed that moment wondering where the X-Men would fit into the MCU. That might be a 20 year project but regardless, I was excited to see it and excited on where it’s going to go.

As for this films darkness and horror, I feel like they really got it right. It still felt like a Marvel film but with an added and unexpected twist of jump scares and scored strings. Very rare in Marvel films but worked out great in this one. Gonna have to watch again soon.

Lastly: what’s the significance of Strange with the third eye? I didn’t quite understand that one. The natural assumption was that an evil Strange made its way through the Multiverse into his regular world but idk. Was that it?

I think they said they ain't doin' no meaux of those 20 year projects.

Movie was good for the most part but lacked in some areas. I kinda expected this movie to open the gateway to more X-Men stuff, but I guess that was nipped in the bud. It was cool to see a yellow chair Xavier like the X-Men cartoon I loved as a kid.

Didn't like the way that Mordo fight ended. Strange just hardcore parkoured out of that gully and just left him there? TF was that?

Also, no more breaking the multiverse out of love lost, or love you never had. That shit is becoming a trope now. I hope Kang just fucks it up just to fuck it up.

B level comic character Dr strange >>> A plus level comic character Batman :eek2:....

The power of Marvel Studios!!!
It's all momentum and fanboys now.

Anyone who is objective and saw both films would agree that the Batman movie was much better. Money have never been a trueeasure of quality. There are too many examples of this.

But, let not do this here. The is the DSMOM thread.

Watched The Batman last week. Saw Dr. Strange Multiverse of Madness tonight.

Although The Batman was decent, I’ll probably never revisit it again. It just made me wish we had a fourth Nolan film instead.

Dr. Strange 2? I may watch that joint again tomorrow night after work. That shit was FIYAH!

I'll see Strange on Tuesday and I'll see but it just shows that Marvel studios is amazing and DC Warners is trash. Every Marvel studios movie is being compared to greatness. Every DC movie is like we'll at least they tried....

I hope they do. They better tell it in a Disney plus series or some shit.

The fans are speaking. Greatness you say? Hmm OK?

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Has 2nd Lowest MCU CinemaScore

Yeah, looks like "they" also tried. Another swing and a miss.

I'm still going to check it out tomorrow. Lol!!

Naw I didn’t see none of that they sold that shit to me. They got a trailer that teasers Xavier and we know Marvel got the rights back to the XMen. So I admit I expected more then to watch Xavier get tossed up by Wanda and shit.

So, looking at it with a clearhead, were the cameos fanservice or are they going to lead to another major arc? With F4 being featured, do we have Galactus and Silver Surfer to look forward to?

I’ll be honest. Last Marvel movie I thoroughly enjoyed was probably Endgame. They’ve earned the right to be patient with their products but it’s been lackluster thus far. I for sho enjoyed Batman better.

Spidey was good!! Shang Chi was very solid! Eternals wasn't good! Black Widow was ok! Should have came put before end game. That's the movies. All the TV shows have been good!

Of course they weren't because they ain't Marvel Studios movies. It's Sony bullshit....
I agree but I also don’t even trust Marvel to handle those releases…..just seems like too much agenda driven shit going on. I never been one to complain about this shit but it seems like these films pandering to women and children.

Spider-Man flicks are great Spider-Man flicks. I just feel that last one was lackluster. I liked Black Widow too but it was mid. Same for Shang Chi. Not bad films but I feel like there’s a standard set by Marvel. Eternals was some bullshit.

Notice you missed everything said because Clearly you are a hater. I never said Strange 2 was great. I didnt say all Marvel Studios were great. Let me repeat; because they Marvel studios has a history of producing good to great movies;so now all of their movies are supposed to be good to great. Unlike DC which overwhelming majority of their movies are trash!! I know u want DC to be good but they are far from it. Keep hope alive though fam...

I think DC is on a decent run. I’ve said it before but I feel their best films have been straying away from that DC universe bullshit. Reboot and create a new universes with a new tone and get off that Snyder shit.

The bar is high and it should be! And they usually deliver. Most really like Strange 2. Thor is coming and so is Panther 2. Great time to be alive...

I can agree with this. So far, I only fucks with Shang Chi, Dr. Strange In The Multiverse of Madness, Spiderman NWH and a couple of da shows. Eternals was trash & Black Widow was SUPER mid.
