What's Wrong With Millenials In The Workplace

The first 2:00 mins then 5:00-6:00 min mark.

True.

But who hasn't been dealt a bad hand at some point? I don't like to use that as an excuse for my own short comings for what my parents did or didn't give me. I feel like once you become an adult or your old enough to know better it's up to you to fill in the blanks on what you missed out on aka self development. I ain't no victim, I try my best not to be.

And to the 2nd part, so who does know how to create meaningful relationships? Point them out to me. Better define meaningful?

Some pros to the millineals lifestyle. Instant gratification = let's cuts through the bullshit and give me what I want. No need wasting my and your time on a merry go-round. If interest don't meet move on. That's what technology is suppose to do.

Agreed with 90% of it. Me and wifey were just talking about how millenials do not have interpersonal skills anymore we gained from meeting people IRL and being out and about without the distraction of cell phones.

I think the key is that a lot of their problems were basically bad parenting as well. So it's not just them alone. Bullshit parents lead to bullshit kids.

Also generations raised on social media is really crazy

Part of the first vid

Our Generation Summed Up - Addiction To Technology Is Ruining Lives - Simon Sinek

Amazes me how they will have the most personal phone conversations on the work floor. Giving out SS numbers, telling all their business, don't cut off my gas, etc.

No regard for others or sense of awareness.

there aren’t many so-called millennials on this board so let’s see what the video is about.

Younger Silent Generation and the Baby Boomer generation are by far the most inept of the ones living, regardless of what the video says.

Back in school, I once had a Gen-Xer who was my manager at a concierge job ask me how to use Microsoft Word to submit the weekly reports.
And the fucking Boomers left us wars and debt.

I wish I had a chance to work with millenials. I hate 40-60 year olds. Hate people who view themselvea as your competition when they couldnt even fuck with you on your worst day.

This statement was from 2016

This entire video sounds like someone who gathered all the millenial sterotypes and just blended it with catchwords.

I'm an early millenial (1985) and none of what he said relates.

Just to give you an example...he said that we grew up in the 'Facebook & Instagram' era. Facebook opened to college students ONLY in 2004, meaning you needed an .edu address AND be at one of the initial schools that were listed; I was 19 already, my lil brother was 13.

Grew up with what?!

Gen Z1997 – 201210 – 25
Millennials1981 – 199626 – 41
Gen X1965 – 198042 – 57
Boomers II*1955 – 196458 – 67

40-60 is 80% of BGOL. The rest is 60+!!

LOL! I am talking about at the workplace. When people are in your age range, there is an unspoken competiveness. Which is okay if you are sort of my peer. Alot of times I am on some KD shit and my co workers are 10 day contact niggas.

I think that Gen Z bracket should be wider and the millennials more narrow... As a Millennial I don't identify with the soft ass mentality, instant gratification mindset that many younger millennials get viewed as... My age group (range) is cut from a different cloth than a lot of them younger ones in that classification...

That's funny you say that because I always use KD as a barometer for success... The other day I was telling my dawg regarding my knowledge and understanding of the stock market, I'm like KD with the Thunder... Close to making that jump to the Warriors, but not there yet...

There are "Zinnials." There are "Xennials" as well. Although, and I hate to say it, I agree with geechie for once and think all these generational categories are more applicable to whites.

Yeah I was born in 86 I find that many people don't even know what a Millennial is lol.

Listen I guarantee if you were to ask the average millennial “Hi how are you doing”? You would get the weirdest fucking response.

Although I strongly disagree with this "notion"... For shits and giggles, let's say it was true... If so, then these Gen X "real black men" failed to raise real black men in other words making those Gen X "real black men" complete failures
To be honest, we were the generation that grew up during Reagan, Crack, the war on drugs, LAPD, NYPD and all of the backlash of black empowerment. There were so many that were lost in the system and or killed is why so many kids grew up without fathers. Even with those odds, we managed to change the world in ways our parents never could.

We are the last generation of black men that actually married and stayed with black women.
