I never understood that? It's like people who hate FAUX News and Chump 45, yet continually posted FAUX News clips of 45 on social media....

I just don't watch shit I have no interest in.

Was last night's Royal Rumble the best thing ever? No.

Did I find it entertaining, yes.

Fuck what you heard, it was something fun to watch with my kids on a cold ass Saturday night in Central Florida.

I don't need every PPV match to be given high imaginary stars by my some wrestling journalist only wrestling marks are aware of and follow.

I watch this stuff to be entertained.

And even though WWE has been very weak overall for quite a bit, when a PPV is on, I'm watching because it's something my kids and I like watching together.

I watch it for comedy purposes. It entertains me in a car wreck kind of way. As long as you watch with the lowest of expectations and don't take it serious it can actually be fun to watch.

Exactly. My 7-year old son (first PPV he's ever sat down and watched) and I watched Royal Rumble and he enjoyed it.
That is a target audience of WWE today. The product overall ain't for us anymore. I've accepted that at this point.

There were some entertaining portions of the Rumble last night and yes the outcomes were predictable, but most Royal Rumbles in the past have also been predictable. This isn't something new. Sorry, but your favorite mid-card wrestler ain't winning the Rumble.
There were some crappy moments last night (DewDrop vs. Becky Lynch comes to mind and there were some weak spots during both Rumble matches), but overall it wasn't that bad.

I understand why people like Cornette hate watch the WWE and AEW. He makes money doing so.
None of these cats complaining on here and on Twitter are making a dime hate watching.

I agree, Bianca has the look and in-ring ability and overall she is better than Jade Cargill.
I just have a feeling if Bianca went to AEW they would instantly pair her against Jade Cargill and have her losing since Jade was there first.
People made a big deal of Ruby Soho leaving WWE, going to AEW and "finally getting her opportunity to shine".
She's now stuck doing jobs to Jade Cargill and wrestling on their YouTube show. LOL

Bianca going to AEW would be a ridiculous step down for her.

She has been pushed, held the women’s title, main evented Wrestlemania (something Punk never did) and will be in the mix for years to come.

Lets not forget that even though AEW has a following, it is still niche. When people (mainstream) think wrestling, they think WWE.

Ain’t no top pro Football players leaving the NFL to play in the CFL.

True. Plus, I don't see Bianca as a hardcore wrestling fan who wants to put on wrestling clinics like a Bryan Danielson.
For many performers WWE is a platform that allows them to do other things (acting, charity work, TV shows, etc.)
AEW isn't providing those same opportunities unless you happen to be in the Rhodes family. LOL

She has to wait her turn. She'll be either TBS champ or World champ at some point. She'll probably be the TBS champ before she is the World champ because the world champs usually have longer reigns.

People only know WWE by default because it's been around for 50 million years but don't get it twisted people are aware of AEW. It is mainstream. You don't have people like Snoop Dogg, Mike Tyson, Shaq, Rosario Dawson, etc on your show for it not to be mainstream. Is it as mainstream as WWE? No, but it's definitely mainstream.

and i Love Naomi, but she has been spotty in the WWE for years until now.

It doesn't make sense that she arrives and wins a title. AEW caters to a Smart Mark crowd. So the white girl shows up and pulls the rug from under the black girl??? Cause that didn't cause ANY blowback when WWE did it!

And it isn't that we hate watch it, it's that WWE heads call AEW out for its bullshyt, but then turn a blind eye to some of the same bullshyt when WWE up and steals story ideas. Big Show goes to AEW; 'I can't believe this! This is such a horrible idea...' Bill Goldberg wins the WWE heavyweight title: '...' It just seems odd that WWE heads have such vitriol for AEW (and vice versa) but can never seem to call their own camp out on its bullshyt

Cause they've been around the longest! Can you name all the accounts you follow AND keep track of? There are a lot of dudes who followed WWE cause of something that was popular at the moment, but aren't engaged with the account. Hell I had to check and I follow them on both platforms.

People know of WWE because it is like Kleenex or Xerox. A brand that came to define an industry.

Y'all act like AEW is on the level of WWE, clamoring for your favorite to jump ship. I'm just saying they are not on the same level and if you are a top star in WWE, jumping from WWE to AEW is just beyond dumb.

No AEW is not on the same level, but acting like staying in catering at WWE versus actually doing something in AEW is so much better. Being the "Top Dog" also doesn't mean you're the best product.

Xerox is a company that specialized in photo/scanning and printing copies…. When people want to copy something, they say “Xerox it”…..

I call out bullshit from both companies. I'm not a WWE or AEW stan like a lot of folks are.
I like some stuff on AEW. I've just never been into the indy-rific stuff and Japanese wrestling obsession that some fans seem to have.

And y'all must have a different definition of "mainstream". My test for something being mainstream is "Have my parents heard of it?"
I know my parents have never heard of AEW. If you polled a random group of people on the street, maybe 10% even know what AEW is.
Yes, hardcore wrestling fans think their beloved product is mainstream because Shaq and Rosario Dawson popped up as a Turner cross-promotion. That doesn't make it "mainstream" though.

WWE joined Twitter in 2007.
AEW joined Twitter in 2019.

From a social media presence WWE has a 12 year head start over AEW.

WWE was created in 1980
AEW was created in 2019

From a business and visibility standpoint WWE has a 39 year head start over AEW.

If popularity is most important to Bianca then by all means she should stay in the WWE. If she's looking for something more then there's other options out there.

No Bianca isn't chilling in catering...yet! We have seen this same rise and fall with black WWE superstars. Drop the belt/lose a feud to their white counterpart, no rematch or a rematch clouded with other wrestlers, mid-card hell and then show up as "surprise" entrants in Royal Rumbles. Aleister Black was in catering for a long time, sorry he wasn't in catering. He was in a closet...waiting for a fight.
 
Although you don't hear it as vocally, there are people who clamor for certain performers to go to WWE since it is the bigger stage. MJF is aname I often hear thrown out.

If you notice, most of the talent released from WWE who end up on AEW are the ones who are hardcore wrestlers and love the technical aspect of it and want the creative freedom to do their own thing. I think it was like 14 out of the 70+ wrestlers released went to AEW. Besides Ali, I think most of the WWE talent there buy into Vince's vision of sports entertainment and are happy. Bianca ain't jumping to AEW because she's not a wrestler wrestler. She was an athlete who grew up watching WWE and is now fulfilling her dream.

AEW has been "mainstream" enough for Vince to declare a Tuesday Night War and lose it within a year. Ya'll try an write AEW off on some kid brother type shyt and that is not the case at all.

MJF wouldn't work in the current system of WWE. He is not family friendly. Truth be told, he was in WWE/NXT for a minute but they did nothing with him. But all of a sudden he needs to be in WWE?

WWE also plan to do Becky vs Ronda at mania 2023. Her deal is basically for her to do 2 manias and she will most likely be gone by post mania 2023

Meltzer also said Ronda looked “not good at all” in the rumble despite “lots of rehearsals”.

“She didn’t do anything to show she’s was star in fact the opposite”

“She was very different then she was before, if she’s performing like that at mania the people will turn”
