While it is true that he is an Actor, it is also true that
1) Every Actor has the choice to accept or refuse the roles they play and the commercials they appear in
2) If they are using their real name and not a "character's" name, An Actor's appearance in an advertisement generally considered their endorsement of said product... in other words, They are appearing as a spokesman for the company; So no, you don't just get to make a commercial and claim; "I don't really fuck with this product / company/ idea, I was just an actor doing a job". Nope, you are ENDORSING the product.
So, to address your question, Amazon is free to hire whomever they can, and any actor is free to accept that job- but neither (nor you or I) should be surprised when these things receive criticism.

He may not be the best actor but he certainly excels at skinnin' and grinnin. And yes I would have preferred Amazon hired a white actor to push that company's bullshit narrative about how great it is to work there when there is plenty of evidence to the contrary. Getting a paycheck is not all that matters if it is a cost of abandoning personal integrity.

I approach the issue from an artist's perspective. Acting is an art form.
I don't like Jimmie Walker, nor the bullshit he pitches on cable TV. Still like Good Times though, in spite of itself.

You are mischaracterizing what I said. My point was a black man, or any man, should not sacrifice integrity for a paycheck. What in the hell that has to do with performing in a Shakespearean or Scottish play is beyond me. Crews did his spot for Amazon evidently without considering that company's checkered past with respect to how it ACTUALLY treat its employees, not how it says it does.
That's my point though. When he's appearing as "Terry Crews" and not " Fred the Amazon employee", the implication is that he's NOT acting. (per se). Both he and Amazon are separating the Artist from the art- so criticism is valid and in this case, to be expected (imo)

The Scottish Play is a euphemism for a well know play written by Shakespeare. The King was not black. Denzel Washington is.
My point is that the ethnicity of the person, in this case, is of questionable concern. Critcism is due, perhaps, but not because he is black.

Amazon pays like 15-17 a hour basically to anyone that can handle the labor, if they unionize that will jump up to possibly 20+ with better benefits right?
Isn't those wages (if we're being honest) for uneducated people isn't that decent enough?
I worked at amazon before the uneducated position is basically warehouse work or delivery drivers, the corporate office is filled with educated folks.
The problem with unionizing Amazon is the warehouse pays like 16 to 18 or something like that and often Amazon logistics are terrible and half the time they sent people home due to no work. They also give everyone the chance to go permanent after 3 weeks if you apply, I didn't because I hated the job and quit.
But they have every department known to man, they have a disability department, special needs, hearing aids for people that can't hear, whatever your issue is they'll accommodate it and it's going to be hard to fight it if you don't see what they do to "help" all types of people.

Me personally I don’t like it because it comes across as making a mockery of their job…. Like he getting all worked up because he might get to drive a forklift? And he in there clowning, wrapping pallets of merchandise wrong and packing boxes all the while some REAL warehouse worker there is going to have to come behind him and fix it.
