Raiders WR Henry Ruggs III will be charged with DUI resulting in death after his involvement in a fatal car crash this morning in Las Vegas

Mayne I got that fucked up 1 time....and only 1 time.
*Colin Warning*

Around summer 2006 I was fresh back in CLE from OH State, 2 of my homies were in town from the military and we met up with this cat we went to HS with.......

Man we played cards, drank, smoked and shit talked all day night. We walked around the corner grabbed food and more beer to offset all the Henny. I remember us leaving around 5am....the sun was starting to creep up.....

Next thing I know it's around 11/12 and I'm in my grandmother's driveway (her house was kind of close to where we were, but not as close as where my other 2 dudes were staying) and my mom was knocking on the window (she also came in town the previous day.)

She said she just got back from church and asked if I remember this morning. I said "This morning? What happened?"

She said we were in the driveway, sleep with the engine running and music playing. I was parked wild in the driveway and had her blocked in so she couldn't get out to go to church.... she said after a while of knocking on the glass I woke up.

She asked me to move back so she could get out....and next thing she knows I put it in drive and flew down the driveway and out onto the street.....

I asked, where did I go? She said she had no idea.....

I barely remember that.....we left and went down the street and around the corner....I think I tried to doze back off but couldn't get comfortable. Now my one dude was passed out in the back and we were an equal distance from his dad's house...and yet I drove back to my grandmother's....

I got out and looked the car up and down.... luckily there was no damage....

That night/day especially with possibly dealing with Cleveland Heights Police.....mayne it could have been SOOOOOOO bad.

After that night tho...... I never drink more than a beer and a shot. Especially when out with the wife..... I'll babysit a beer to keep up appearances, but I'll save the hard drinking for when I'm already at home! I've got way too much to lose.
Man I'm glad you didn't get fucked up fa real. That could have turned out so badly

I agree... Too many negatives in this situation.

The dead woman
The injured female passenger
The speed, The speed, The speed!
The dead dog
The available ride
Dude is high profile Black man ( gonna make an example of him)

I see 10 to 15... easy!
Yup

Terrible analysis. Your Black ass, better have a fucking gun in Trump's America.
Terrible read
I respect everyone's opionion as that. However, have drugs and a gun on you and get caught doing something. You're going to go down further than you would have with the one charge.
The key is "THEY don't want us to thrive so they create Deathly fear so some get guns, and they create Life Issues so some get drank and drugs for the weekend and instead of the 1 charge, you're going away for the problems they made you have plus with something additional on your person. And those additional charges will affect tons more of us than the 1 it might save in a shootout.

I can't see it. Especially the fact they mentioned all he had to do was call for a ride. The fact that others before him didn't get as much time actually doesn't bode well for him. At some point, someone is gonna be made an example of. That gun doesn't help at all either. :smh:

Might be true but how did they get his blood count when he didnt give it to the cops? tells me they got it from the hospital and probably will be thrown out; a good lawyer should be able to get that done; which will plead down to reckless driving; killing someone is crazy though...

Man 1

Another proof guns are not for us.
Have a gun and they start tacking on "possession/firing of a weapon in comission a felony event" to add a few more
years. Cards are stacked.
Nah you overthinking that one. Anytime a dui is involved, a gun being on site as well whether loaded or not is an immediate no no regardless of race especially in states with stricter gun laws. It being loaded stacks the odds against him increasingly cuz of the dui. Guns & alcohol in the same incident are never gonna go in anyone's favor. Immediate gun confiscation & CCH is immediately suspended with likely revocation on deck

Yeah what your saying is true though. He gonna get hit with that loaded firearm too. That adds to it. What a dumbass. :smh:

Yeah this ain’t the time to talk about cards being stacked…..if he wouldn’t have been driving around drunk and killing someone he probably wouldn’t have gotten it tacked on. Yeah

Im surprised he wasnt charged with manslaughter...
Those laws vary state to state. Nevada has a specific law to directly address killing while driving under the influence. In that regard, he is especially fucked.
That’s what I meant to say

he will get that charge

out in 3
Id be shocked if he serves less than 5. He needs to be negotiating time as we speak.

I remember the Ford pinto. Ford knew that if the car was hit in the back it would burst into flames, they eventually had to recall the cars and put in a sheild to protect the gas tank.

Not really, folks on here from DMV know about Indian Head Highway in MD & a few other similar roads. Hell I used to go out early in the morning on the weekend and get it in. Shit I was doing 115 one day and a bike and 2 Vettes went by me like I was standing still..lol

Yup we knew once we seen the CVS on the left hoping the light turn red. So we can line up that’s a long stretch. Now I hear they racing after the speed camera! And yes that C8 quick as shit I got one.

Yeah, I may sound like I'm defending him. The speed, by itself was deathly dangerous.
Do not watch this below, it's too long for what I want from it... I'm posting for the screenshot,
but we know there are tons of these type of videos where people in performance cars are
launching and seeing how fast they can go, sometimes on non race tracks, to impress their friends

 So the problem is that it's a loaded gun? Now, no he should not have been driving at that speed on that road,
but I see too often, they will throw everything they can to prove a point. My thing is, he was not pointing the gun
out the window while he had the wreck, so what message is really being made? Again, not defending his idiotic ride
while under the influence, but the discretion of DAs is too great. Not every death has justice.

On the other hand, this dude accidentally kills his kid, by pulling a trigger, while hunting - OK. It's against the law
in many states to shoot deer out of season, so you have to be sure of what you're shooting at or you get cited.
But if you kill your own kid, and have the DA on your side for some reason... no charge, not even a citation
"he is going through too much already" Maybe Ruggs is "going through too much already"
