its an important topic that affects us all, he is trying to tackle an issue with the influence he has
Has anyone else noticed that it seems like most of these specials he has gone into this Trans bit that take up what seems like 2/3's of the special?
That part. But talking about how the lgbtq has hijacked the civil rights movement that black people fought centuries for and doing it in the period Of 20 years oh, Dave talked about that shit and he was rightits an important topic that affects us all, he is trying to tackle an issue with the influence he has
When he said for the LGBT community to stop 'punching down' on 'his tribe', he was talking about comedians (who been getting in trouble and having careers ruined by jokes and tweets and shit), not black people.
In every special using the same premise and almost the same joke(s)?
Your argument can be used with literally every comedian, though your statement is not really an argument.
It's just trolling
It was not his best, but it was entertaining.
Respect fam, you are entitled to your opinion, but I didn't take it that way, because he spent the lion's share of the special talking about how feminists, white gays and white trans people "claim" to be minorities, and just as oppressed as black people, but whenever they need to, they pull out the "I'm white" visa card with all its perks and privileges - and shit on us....
so a black woman for example, can stand with white women for "women's issues"... but when it comes time for white women to stand with black women... oh.. that ain't us... that's a black issue... you on your own... (As Sojourner Truth said; "Ain't I a woman?)
or the way horrible crimes can be committed against me and mine, and no one bats an eyelash- but if you even so much as hurt their feelings, there will be hell to pay....
So when he said that at the end, I took it to mean black people, not "cancelled" comedians. If I remember right, he actually says at one point; "My problem has never been with xxxx people... it has always been with white people. I don't think he would have said that if he meant that final statement in the way you understood it.
Great thing about great art is that it is open to interpretation and both of us can be right.. (or wrong, lol)
This was the funniest Dave I’ve seen in years, up until the end when he started preaching. If he cut out the last half hour it would have been perfect.
Gays are going to kill him though

I took the statement the same way. You spoke on more points than I'm going to list, but out the gate he mentioned Tha baby. TB is a rapper;not a comedian. TB is also black. I could also be wrong, but punching down on my people is black people.
WHAT?!?! Not arguing, not even a statement. If you notice I ended with a ?uestion mark. So I asked a ?uestion, but if don't want to have a conversation where you can express an opinion to change the opinion of someone else that is cool. But then again I am known on here as a major troll so this goes against my whole statement.
Not really that funny, but......
Good that he showed them Jews that he ain't scared of them.
Good on him that he showed them LGBTQ mfs he ain't scared of them.
Usually that's the kiss of death for a black man .
When he said for the LGBT community to stop 'punching down' on 'his tribe', he was talking about comedians (who been getting in trouble and having careers ruined by jokes and tweets and shit), not black people.
Report to the verification thread ASAP
You should probably watch the set again. Large theme was hypocrisy and double standards of alphabet mafia and trans community as it pertains to fight for so-called equality. Im sure he purposely left some ambiguity there but its clear who he really meant by his "tribe".When he said for the LGBT community to stop 'punching down' on 'his tribe', he was talking about comedians (who been getting in trouble and having careers ruined by jokes and tweets and shit), not black people.

For Dave Chappelle, punchlines are dares. His new special, 'The Closer,' goes too far
In his new Netflix special, Dave Chappelle tries — and often fails — to justify button-pushing jokes about gay people, transgender people and feminists.www.npr.org
“Gender is a fact,” Chappelle continued. “Every human being in this room, every human being on Earth, had to pass through the legs of a woman to be on Earth. That is a fact. Now, I am not saying that to say trans women aren’t women, I am just saying that those pussies that they got … you know what I mean? I’m not saying it’s not pussy, but it’s Beyond Pussy or Impossible Pussy.”
DaBaby, whose legal name is Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, did fatally shoot a man in a Huntersville, North Carolina, Walmart in 2018. But Kirk insisted that he fired in self-defense. In 2019 he was found guilty of carrying a concealed weapon, a misdemeanor, and sentenced to probation, according to The Charlotte Observer.
Chappelle concluded his thoughts on the DaBabby’s homophobic comments by saying:
“In our country, you can shoot and kill a [N-word], but you better not hurt a gay person’s feelings.”
