Staggering US wealth inequality heaps long-term harm on to minority children

It won’t help. I’ve seen it first hand trying to teach about the money and banking system which can be beaten if people know how it works. I’ve been posting information that literally would have made people high six figures (starting with a stimulus check) in the last 1.5 years, along with other brothers in this thread. It is no hope for a lot of pro-whites in the so-called black community and that is why there needs to be a separation.

Our people have a habit of accepting narrative and dismissing truth and the former will continue to be our downfall.
Shit all over this board in between the bullshit shilling and bot talk. Information right here. Next 1.5 years going to be even better.

What studies can you point to that prove your assertion? Certainly not this one:

Extensive Data Shows Punishing Reach of Racism for Black Boys
MARCH 19, 2018

Black boys raised in America, even in the wealthiest families and living in some of the most well-to-do neighborhoods, still earn less in adulthood than white boys with similar backgrounds, according to a sweeping new study that traced the lives of millions of children.
White boys who grow up rich are likely to remain that way. Black boys raised at the top, however, are more likely to become poor than to stay wealthy in their own adult households.
Most white boys raised in wealthy families will stay rich or upper middle class as adults, but black boys raised in similarly rich households will not.

Even when children grow up next to each other with parents who earn similar incomes, black boys fare worse than white boys in 99 percent of America. And the gaps only worsen in the kind of neighborhoods that promise low poverty and good schools.

According to the study, led by researchers at Stanford, Harvard and the Census Bureau, income inequality between blacks and whites is driven entirely by what is happening among these boys and the men they become. Though black girls and women face deep inequality on many measures, black and white girls from families with comparable earnings attain similar individual incomes as adults.

Large income gaps persist between men — but not women.

Black men consistently earn less than white men, regardless of whether they’re raised poor or rich.

No such income gap exists between black and white women raised in similar households.

“You would have thought at some point you escape the poverty trap,” said Nathaniel Hendren, a Harvard economist and an author of the study.
Black boys — even rich black boys — can seemingly never assume that.

The study, based on anonymous earnings and demographic data for virtually all Americans now in their late 30s, debunks a number of other widely held hypotheses about income inequality. Gaps persisted even when black and white boys grew up in families with the same income, similar family structures, similar education levels and even similar levels of accumulated wealth.

Just highlighting this.

But this foundation requires changes in government policy.
As an employee within a multi-million dollar health system, I know firsthand regarding pay disparities. Yes, it is a fact that black people earn less than all races other than Native Americans and Pacific Islanders. In fact, black males earn less than white women and Asian Women. This is why I always call BS when white women want to have a wage gap conversation.

However, articles such as the one you cited are disingenuous clickbait pieces because they never tell the full story. By your logic, black boys (and girls) shouldn't work hard to change their circumstances because they will never earn as much as their counterparts.

Here is the full story:
  • Black households had a median income of $32,068, which placed the median black household within the second income quintile.
  • 27.3% of black households earned an income between $25,000 and $50,000
  • 15.2% earned between $50,000 and $75,000
  • 7.6% earned between $75,000 and $100,000
  • 9.4% earned more than $100,000
  • 59% of black households earned less than $25,000
  • A Black person who holds a bachelor degree earns an average $61,720/ yr
What does this mean? Just by getting a good bachelor's degree ie STEM, healthcare, etc., a black person will more than likely be in the top 1/3 of all black households. A household with two bachelors puts that family in the top 10% of all black households. The US median income for all households is $79,900. Having a household with two bachelors puts that family well above the US median household income level.

We have to forget this ridiculous "all or nothing" attitude." No, we will never be treated fairly in this country. We've known this since we were kidnapped and brought to this country. But, that does not mean we stop working within the system to better ourselves? No, we generate more, doctors, scientist, electricians, plumbers, IT Professionals, etc to better our situation.

Lastly, a painful reality is some will be left behind. Not everyone can be or wants to be woken up. Some people are lazy, do not have the intelligence, etc. to change their circumstances. Frankly, everyone cannot be helped. Ask any teacher. This is partially what W.E.B. Du Bois meant when he was talking about the talented 10th and how this 10% will lead the 90%.

Yea and Dubois realized how dumb that concept was and died a socialist in Ghana. The term talented tenth was created by crackers. There is no extraordinary negro like y'all thought Obama was. Just people

Yep I'm over here worrying about my SQ leaps that expire in January and my people as a collective lol
To the point. I posted this 11 months ago:

$SQ buying up BTC. It’ll continue to go up and surpass Paypal.
$SQ surpassed BTC Aug 5, 2021 in PPS before pulling back.

$SQ is still undervalued at $266. Should be around $400 a share barring an equity market collapse.

The hard pill to swallow is WE have stop waiting on others to help us. We know racism exists. We know that the system is designed for us to fail. We have heard all of the narratives. But, we have to be the ones at the center of helping ourselves. It starts with regaining pride as a people. Putting shame back into our culture. We need to set expectations beyond average. STEM has to become the norm for our children. Families have to stay together.

We have set the bar too low while being bamboozled by politicians, interest groups, and movements that have done nothing but distract us from our real problems.

Man, I'm saddened just typing all that.
Exactly! We are too focused on external factors and not internal development. It's really not that hard to improve your situation. It starts with having a strong family unit. Somebody has to break that chain of poverty for your family.

No one said this. No one is saying to wallow in the ghetto and feel sorry for yourself. We are simply saying that you are unwilling to or simply fail to understand the systemic nature of these income and WEALTH disparities.

"Just by getting a good bachelor's degree ie STEM, healthcare, etc., a black person will more than likely be in the top 1/3 of all black households."

The majority of whites don't hold bachelor's degrees, and they invariably come from backgrounds where they have access to more resources and certainly less discrimination.

This is sad shit guys. I understand this is where everyone are millionaires and shit, but dont yall get tired of being the only Black person on your 1st class flight to Hawaii. I am.
It pains me to see our people fucked up here like this. I've said it before and have no shame, that the only way the rest of our people are getting out this is with Gov't assistance. Damn you all who thinks otherwise!
Our only hope is to come together. How well have we been doing that? I'm sick and tired of our people doing this bad collectively. It's painful to see.

Start here. Challenge your BGOL brethren who say black men should never get married. Who think tearing a woman down and rudely pointing out flaws and whats wrong with her in the most hurtful and embarrassing way possible is somehow going to encourage her to do better and encourage change instead of making her defensive, resentful, and possibly causing her to become depressed and try even less. Who don't want to take on a leadership role, yet want to sit in judgement of every thing and every one who isn't doing as well as they are. Who don't recognize their own failings and how they contribute to all the things they say they despise when it comes to black folks vs other races/cultures.
Marriage isn’t typically something men grow into. In fact, it’s the opposite, as, the more we learn, the less we want it. Most men start out with a school crush, to college wisdom, to fuuuuuck that! It’s experiences along the way that determine a desire or fear of marriage. The guys on BGOL can’t be swayed.

As for tearing down women, that’s a chicken and the egg argument. Rap ushered in the “bitch/hoe” era while, at the same time, R&B confirmed the “no romance without finance” and eventually TLC’s Scrubs anthem. That said, call it even on who started it.

To your point of women who “sit judgement” that’s another chicken/egg issue. Men have heard everything from: short, fat, broke, live with your mom, small dick, to “Who hurt you?” for decades. We no longer care about your feelings overall and focus solely on the one woman we CAN reach.

Is there a culture of shaming women? Sure. Have we lost respect for most of you all? Yup. Even more, we are desensitized to your plight because so few of you have any shame left. Not to be mean, but each gender is going down to tubes. The advent of social media boosted egos to the point or malignant narcissism (Trump) the likes of which the world has never seen. In short, nobody can’t tell anybody shit. To speak specifically of men and the issue you present; men judge women harshly because y’all don’t listen when we say it politely. I can’t think of any scenario where I was just raw and uncut with a woman where I wasn’t polite, firm, more firm first… then just tired of saying it and kept it real. It’s goes in stages, so if men say women are too fat, entitled, lazy, weaved up or whatever it’s because we are tired of whispering it because apparently y’all can’t hear at the decibel.

To quote my lady, “It’s not THAT you said it; it’s the WAY you said it.” Word? So when I said “Get in the fucking car already!” I’ve neeeeeever said it nicely before, or several damn times? I did. She only heard it when I yelled. Proof most women react to chaos and are annoyed by courtesy. Few men just blatantly call a woman fat unless she’s getting bigger and lazier and he’s tired of sugarcoating it. So, marriage isn’t dead because men ain’t shit, it’s dead because women don’t give a fuck what we like, want or feel until they hit the wall and want a nice guy. Less than 1% of black men actually likes weave, but 90% of black women wear it. Who doesn’t recognize their failings: men nor women. It’s both.

You got to want to actually improve your situation vs being content with your situation, and content with blaming those external factor for all your failures.

So in other words both sides have staked out a position, no one is willing to change, so this whole conversation is moot anyway. So we are just going to fuss and moan, no change.

He is correct in a lot of what he says but a lot of men have created the women they detest and this goes across the spectrum.

I think men and women need to do some self reflection and be honest with themselves.

Find like minded people who don't care about material and shallow shit.

Money and class are not synonymous so enjoy first class alone. I don’t feel bad at all. I joined every airline points program that came out. I got my ride share accounts linked to airlines so I get points if I just Uber. My credit cards are linked so if I buy condoms I get points. I pay my shit off monthly. I have so many miles I’ll never use em.

They key most blacks don’t wanna hear it own where the fuck you live!!! Nigga rent well into their 30’s and 40’s. $1000 a month for 20 damn years to a landlord, THEN wanna own. :smh: I bought a 3-level, 2-car garage house in an upscale area at 29, and that’s because I waited to pay off my Toyota. Zero debt when I applied.

The number fucking one thing all blacks need to do is know and maintain your fucking CREDIT SCORE! Goddamn! You’d be surprised at….:smh::smh::smh:

Correct. The low down, ashy dudes ruined the majority of young girls on the way up long before a man of means can get to em. Too much baggage or kids and trauma from dealing with Pookie and Ray-Ray. Every guy, if you peel the onion back far enough, would have married his high school sweetheart because he couldn’t see passed his feelings for her. One heartbreak after another makes each gender more gun shy because we are dating what’s left of broken people. The nerd got played, the nice guy saw the girl he liked dating an athlete or dope boy. By age 20 many guys realize they aren’t want women want, but what they will settle for. Women run this shit and always have. All the rules and standards for dating; women control. Men can’t tell women shit. Pussy is easy because women decided it should be because LMAO we was willing to pay for dates. We wanted to date you, court you, starting with homecoming dances and proms. Men wanted to couple up, women didn’t. Once women had confirmation (social media) that their options are virtually unlimited, even the obese ones started playing men. Used to be that all big girls were nice, could cook, whatever. Now they got egos like the dime pieces, while the dime pieces became fucking monsters! I.e, the Brittany Renner’s of the world. Now, the prettier the chick, the less you trust her. And most hard-nosed men are just hurt from their past. Most of us are puppies if you treat us right. But we will act like pitbulls until we can feel you out.

The hell does that have to do with anything posted in the OP

You are still harping on the "we make less than them" narrative. I agree that this is real. So what?? I acknowledge it and teach it to my mentees. But, I also teach them that self-improvement is rooted in self. You have to compete with yourself when you are sincere about self improvement. "What were you doing last year? Where are you now? What is my goal for next year? Next month."

Many of us are stuck in neutral because we are too busy worried about the next man. We spend up capital that we could be using to invest and improve our situations on clothes, cars, trips, etc.

My children may not earn exactly what their white counterparts will. However, as doctors, they will still be in the top 10% of all earners in the US. Why wouldn't you push for all children to set the bar just as high?

Exactly... no one wants to accept their part in the situation, which has lead to unnecessary hate between black men, and women.

Because being rich or wealthy isn't the flex you think it is when the whole is suffering.

Not at all. I clearly said earlier, to improve the whole we much improve the individuals. You want to help everyone all at once. We never will accomplish that. But we can help each other one at a time and teach those we've helped to do the same for others.

It's like a coach or mentor helping everybody else, while neglecting his own damn wife, and kids. Helping starts at home (individual situation), then it moves from there.

It's a combination of external and internal, but external can be overwhelming to most people. Most humans ain't built like that. They just aren't. Even when given the right path, most fall victim to external factors.

Break this shit down. We have an entire election process that is crafted on all the misery people live in. Most the population is white. Life is school, work, box. Folks are fucking miserable. They are being slowcooked. That's an external process. And that's just the white people who don't have to deal with systemic racism.

Government always going to be government. It's always been gangster shit and always will be. What people want is the same external shit as whites so the field is level. Let the black community just have to deal with the crook bankers and their puppet politicians. All this extra systemic racism ON TOP OF THAT makes it too hard. It just does.

Yes, we have to help ourselves. No shit. But how many whites help themselves while dealing with fewer external factors? Well, you see all the miserable fucks every election begging politicians to make their lives better, so not that fucking many.

And not for nothing, the bar you set for your children is low to be talking like this. All the shit you saying about self-help? Your kids should be living off assets by the time peers coming out of medical school in debt to the tits. If you got it like that, why you going to have them trading time for money in a high-stress profession? They should be part of your empire. Shit don't sound right to me. :smh:

Because he is still failing to understand WEALTH which is why his kids will have to work in a high-stress profession.

But in his mind being a doctor, lawyer, or whatever he's seen on TV (Cosby) is making it. So when his sons do it there sons can strive to work hard and do it and so on... No wealth building just work
Exactly. So he's in a wealth thread and doesn't seem to get wealth completely. Just bits and pieces. Seems he wants to raise employees who think their primary residences are assets. That ain't wealth. It's building upper-class legacy. Big fucking difference. I got doctors in the family and know the mindset.

But it is true that is doing better than most, but it ain't wealth.

No wealth building?? I have an entire thread dedicated to wealth building. I have numerous posts where I discuss the trading accounts I have already setup for my children.

Cats on this board are really attempting to argue that aspiring to become a doctor is a bad thing?? I have numerous posts where I discuss the need for more black doctors. Why?? Not for clout. Brcause it is needed and it is an opportunity for them to practice INDEPENDENTLY owning their own practice and facility. Geesh. We have definitely hit the bottom. What other group of people would ever say, "he thinks being a doctor is making it." That ish sounds stupid just retyping it.

Yes, life is hard. Yes, black folk, the real children of Israel, have it bad. We know this. Life is not fair fir the black man and NEVER will in our lifetime. But, you will never hear me or my seed ever say it's too hard. Black folk before us have had to endure much worse. But, yet we still wallow in self-pity. F dat. "Get up get out and get somethin'. You and I got to do for you and i."

As I mentioned earlier, some of yall can't be helped. You are too far gone and got in the Matrix. The sad thing is, this "woe is me" mentality is passed on to future generations and becomes a cycle.

Lastly, if attending an Ivy League school, becoming a doctor, investing in etfs and dividend stocks, and owning a home all before 30 isn't making it, then so be it. We will sit our non-making it selves on our porch on watch how it's done.

I'm still trippin......he said I set the bar too low?

You mixing upper class for wealth man, but you scolding cats like you talking about wealth. That's why the bar is low for what you talking. And upper class is fucking great. Don't get me wrong. It's way better than most. It's what I thought was wealth before I knew what wealth really was. I get your mix up.

My G, I fully understand wealth moreso than most.

According to investopedia:

Wealth measures the value of all the assets of worth owned by a person, community, company, or country. Wealth is determined by taking the total market value of all physical and intangible assets owned, then subtracting all debts.

Most wealthy people, particularly millionaires all own homes and land. I teach this. I recently shared a full indepth post about how anyone can do it.

Most wealthy people invest in stocks particularly millionaires . I teach this. I have an entire thread dedicated to teaching people how to start from scratch and build their portfolio.

Most wealthy people particularly millionaires have high paying jobs. Yes, Warren buffet, etc all have jobs. I teach this. One must understand that utilizing all income streams to generate wealth is important. Additionally, a minimum of 15% of one's salary should be earmarked specifically for investments.

Most wealthy people particularly millionaires have low debt and live below their means. I teach this. I have too many posts where I hold us accountable for frivolous spending.

Most wealthy people particularly millionaires have have multiple income streams including businesses they own. I teach this. I talk indepth about controlling your destiny and having unlimited incomes generating potential.

Most wealthy people particularly millionaires associate with other wealthy people. I teach this. I am an advocate for attending Ivy League schools because it is a gateway into high level networking.

But, hey what do I know. I'm just a person who shared a low risk investment portfolio that has outperformed the market two years straight on a porn site for free and didn't ask for anything.

I got this. Me and my seed are good now and they will be in a better position than me when I done.

Do you Playa, have fun with that.
