The Good fight season 5 started ...a lot of black people in this ...good actors too ...
still havent watched an ep ...heard good things plan on watching soon ...
any reviews...?
Great Show...its a spin off of "The Good Wife" - a show that my wife watched religiously. I watched a couple episodes of that show and it was much better than I anticipated for a network TV procedural drama. It was directed by Ridley Scott and had great actors. Knowing this made me interested in seeing the Good Fight
This show "The Good Fight" is centered around a Black Law firm that made appearances in the Good wife with a bunch of recurring characters in the Good wife. it would be way more popular if they would keep it consistently on one network....it keeps getting jacked around to different networks and streaming platforms.
Very well written and acted, Hilarious and the writers pull NO punches when it comes to Trump, his followers etc. They had one episode with a client that had the "pee tape", another episode discovering Epsteins freaky private island etc. episodes about all the clueless judges that he appointed and all the ripple effects of his terrible policies on the legal system etc. the last couple of seasons maybe went a little TOO Hard bordering on overkill But this season with the new administration in office has calmed down and gone in another direction, introduced some new characters and is real interesting so far.
I didn't like the ending.
Asked my mom what she has been watching in recent months, and these were her recommendations -
Party Down is an American sitcom created and primarily written by John Enbom, Rob Thomas, Dan Etheridge and Paul Rudd that aired on the Starz network in the United States in 2009 and 2010. The series follows a group of caterers in Los Angeles as they hope to make it in Hollywood.
Starz canceled Party Down on June 30, 2010. While the show was warmly received by critics, its Nielsen ratings were very low. Losing Jane Lynch to Glee as well as Adam Scott to Parks and Recreation were believed to be additional factors in the decision to end the series.[1] As of 2021, a revival of the series is in development.

Ferry (Netflix) is a slightly random, but very entertaining prequel out of Belgium that peels back the layers of Undercover, Netflix's hit series about drug enforcement agents who pose as a couple at a Belgian campground in order to ensnare ..
I stumbled onto White Lotus...
Mama H-Funk has eclectic tastes and is very smart.
Was away from tv shows for a couple weeks since i've been a hardcore olympics watcher since 96 Atl but been back on my regular tv show consumption. Some of my shows just ended like The Chi, Black Monday, Blindspotting, Dave but I got a lot of shows returning or new for August. The returning shows I'm watching are Godfather of Harlem, Stargirl, Titans, Awkwafina is Nora from Queens, final season of TWD to go along with Power book 3, animal kingdom from July. New shows I have in August are What If, Nine Perfect Strangers, Heels
Looking forward to checking out Heels. Listened to a few early reviews on podcasts this past week.
You have a good line-up of shows in your rotation.
how were the early reviews?
Into the Night
2020
8.5/10
This mofo is on point.
I went into it thinking how the fuck they gonna stretch this concept out to a series, I thought that it would seem better if it was a 2 hour movie. But they pulled it off right.
I'm not going to give any spoilers, just some general info.
The series is from Belgium and Netflix has it dubbed in English. It is only 6 episodes at 40 minutes and you can binge it one afternoon.
The SHTF 5 minutes into episode one and proceeds from there. All the major characters are introduced in episode 1. Episodes 2 thru 6 is character development and they do it with quick flashback stories of them just before boarding the flight. They only do a handful of passengers, they will do the rest in later seasons.
All the passengers and crews have prior drama which affects their behavior and performance. The quick flashbacks give you a general perspective on their characters.
If you like a lot of suspense, check it out.
Synopsis
When the sun starts to kill everything in its path, a plane full of passengers must travel at night in attempt to escape its destructive power and find some place safe.
Into the Night Season 2 | Official Teaser
The fight for survival has only just begun.
We go back Into The Night on September 8, only on Netflix.

I just binged this one overnight. It does indeed put CAC privilege on Front St.The White Lotus is as clueless about Native Hawaiians as its characters
The HBO series is a scathing roast of white privilege. But does it realize it succumbs to the same point of view?www.vox.com

Heels
Heels is a story about the men and women who chase their dreams in the world of small town pro wrestling. Set in a close-knit Georgia community, it follows a family-owned wrestling promotion as two brothers and rivals, Jack Spade and Ace Spade, war over their late father’s legacy. In the ring, somebody must play the good guy and somebody must play their nemesis, the heel. But in the real world, those characters can be hard to live up to — or hard to leave behind.

TITANS
I'm loving the pacing, action, camaraderie of the team, and look of season 3.
Not fulling buying into the path Batman has taken though.
Crazy how it seems that Red Hood has adapted some of The Jokers signature murderous styles.
I don't know. It's as though Netflix thinks you're in a different country.I'm in the western US. Curious though, why would you need a VPN to find the English Dubbed version of 'Into the Night'?
