In my opinion, if you’re catching consistent negative reactions, then that’s a you problem. Also, not every chick is looking to be complimented. Read their body language and respect their space. Don’t take it personal. While your intentions may be non-threatening and honest, they don’t know that.

I have zero issues with bad attitudes from black women when it comes to compliments. Plus, complimenting their hair, nails, shoes, or clothes goes way further for me. I pay attention to the thing they cared about that day. 95% of black women will take a hair compliment any day of the week even to the point of blushing.

For the rest of you who aren't weirdos or idiots and still don't understand. No one is obligated to talk to you on the streets. As a New Yorker who looks to the side to see if it's a set up when someone asks for the time. I can honestly say not everybody wants to talk to you.

I have little to no respect for people who do things randomly for something. Then complain like whores when it doesn't go their emotional ass way. Don't be one of those bitch made fools that hold a door then say "YOU'RE WELCOME" all loud if you don't get your thanks and praises the way they want them. Or give a compliment then go full bitch when they don't get the response they were fishing for.

Well for one you are over generalizing by saying black women.

Some women don't want to accept compliments because that leads to unwanted aggressive advances.
