Let me start by saying this is one of the greatest moments in Hip Hop history Ever for my era. I was smiling from ear to ear throughout the whole live stream because I couldn’t believe what I was witnessing. It’s one of those moments that I’m mad I didn’t attend.
The importance of the DJ, especially in an event like this is paramount
So many moments that Dipset could have taken advantage of and swayed the energy of the room were ruined by them not being in tune with their DJ. That comes down to preparation which we all knew Harlem niggas wouldn’t be.
Jadakiss’ stage presence and voice control is unmatched. He realized the magnitude of the moment before he even stepped in the arena, the entire LOX did too but Kiss is something different... Together they’re a well oiled machine
Cam’ron realized how big it was too late.....he came in to lax, to cool, too Harlem for his own good and by the time he realized oh shit this is NEW YORK, he tried his best to recover but was unprepared and over matched.
“This ain’t SOB’s” Cam was right about that because nobody outside of that building would be talking about SOB’s days after. Millions watched this shit. A generation that really didn’t have the respect of this era like they should were tuned in as well, it’s sad they didn’t get Dipset at their best because song for song positioned correctly this would have been completely different.
