Bruh why some people just cant accept the facts that Jay-Z was not the shit in the south (facts). This is the honest to god truth it's not like im lying about it.Jay-Z is not now and never will be a highly respected artist in the south never. Its all over now,his career is over now.He cant go back and undue what wasnt done. You cant make something be that never was(and that's being highly respected in the south). Now you got people on here trying to say the one's who cant comprehend is one's who's hating.Let me say this for one thing. The south has never hated on Jay-Z didnt never have no reason to.The south been getting it way before Jay-Z ever came upon the seen and still getting now even after his career. If anything Jay-Z has been hating on the south and in particular he was hating on J Prince and what he was doing, because what JPrince was doing was way beyond Jay-Z way beyond Hip Hop,way beyond Jay-Z's paymasters or puppetmasters.J Prince was on the verge of starting a Distribution Company for hip hop artists only, with Marion Suge Knight and Irvin Domingo Lorenzo Jr(Irv Gotti).Yep thats right James Prince and them was about to start up a distribution company that would have taken the game slapped away from Universal Records,Red Distribution,EMI Capital Distribution and put in the hands of Black CEO'S.Yes the game was about to change. a earthquake was about to shake the ground on hip hop and entertainment in general.Jay-Z went back and told his masters and we all know the rest.We already know what happen to Irv Gotti,Jprince and Suge Knight and as a result of that J Prince probably had already alerted all the other don's of the streets of the south now the south fo sho aint fucking with Jay-Z on a street level and now not even on a business level.Wasnt fucking with him like i said before on a music level tough anyways. So if anybody is hating on somebody it's Jay-Z hating on black progress.

Oh stfu.

I agree with him. Outside of Jay-Z first few albums In My Lifetime and Reasonable Doubt and the Blueprint. I was not impressed with many Jay-Z albums until his later work, The Black Album Kingdom Come, etc and even some of those I wasn’t too big a fan.

Definitely respect his grind and achievements and contributions to the culture, never thought I’d see a rap mogul do the things he does as a Billionaire. I can say I’ve become more of fan of his outside of music than I have with his music.

Who the fuck cares who ain’t listen to who in a certain region? There’s areas of the world, Amazon, Nike, and Apple are not preferred. Too much dick riding. Why speak on another man’s name. Mentioning Jay Z in his interview got him the bulk of his clicks.

Jay-Z better then any rapper thats ever come out of the south. Its the truth.

Its ok to not be a fan though.

At what point can you tell how good a rapper is without really liking him?

Thats always been the question.
Dude go hop your ass in cesspool(septic tank) already talking that bullshit.Dont nobody want to hear that bullshit that's all an opinion

Yeah you right...........But one thing we do know Jay-Z is not that dude in the South(Facts).......I can pretty much say that a majority of those clicks are coming from the East Coast peeps. They are more keen and interested in shit like this. The south could care less.

This is true...Trae the truth talks about this... Jay z is a person I don't listen to...he definitely went and snitched and shut this operation down... brah

.... Can you expound further please

When Reasonable Doubt came out in 96, it was a great album but no one called it a classic at the time. As a matter of fact it wasn't considered the best album that year.

Volume 1 was considered a good album but was over shadowed by other albums. Volume 2 was big for Jay but again it was a good album among many others. He actually regressed a bit with Volume 3.

Now you talk to people and they act like Jay was always the greatest and always had a big following and that wasn't the case. In the mid aughts, with so much bad music out there, Jay capitalized with some good projects and really took over but in the mid to late 90s he was just another rapper with two good albums. He was never to the level of Pac or even Big back then but people act like he was.

And this is coming from someone who has always liked Jay Z

I’m not shocked at B/C/ D entertainers coming out the woodworks. Most of them never achieved what they could of because they didn’t have the business acumen. 99.9% of them would love to switch places and or get on a project with JayZ.

I moved down south while in college, they wasn’t Jay-Z super fans but it def got played.

I just don’t get our people, I’m more of a Sean P, Nas, Lox type, but JayZ has held the rap business down respectably, opened lot of bog doors for the hood.

Scarface, T.I., Eightball & MJG, Tela, Jay Electronica, Mac, Mia X, Fiend, Lil Baby, Money Bag Yo. Can’t really think of anymore.
Ones that can actually rap

project pay with that abc rap is cool when you drunk and in the club but never am I going to just throw on project pat to be amazed by lyrics. Slob on my knob like corn on the Cobb ain’t bars.

Dat screw shit...bang...when I'm on zaZA..and wax....Juicy J is one of the best producers of all time... brah
Bruh, I was telling cats about those DJ Screw and Fuck Action tapes since '99......

damn I remember in '02 looking on Kazaa and Limewire for them...I got a couple of burned copies somewhere in my basement...but there is no duplicating that energy in H-town and riding around ATL in my Aunt's car and mfkrs pulling up next to me like "yo what is THAT?! That shit is hard!"

that sounds good, but do you think "the powers that be" would let someone like J Prince cut them out / join their ranks?
