its not about handling money...money is to be spent...MOST PEOPLE REGARDLESS OF ETHNICITY ARE BAD WITH MONEY..its the main reason we live in a credit based society. The big question is why are blacks held to a higher level of scrutiny when it comes to damn near anything??

If you really want to be honest about it segregation and violence did more to keep black dollars in the black community than any sense of unity... black banks and businesses thrived mainly because blacks couldn't get accounts and etc anywhere else...couldn't live where they wanted and shop where they wanted. The true issue isn't that black dollars left the community with desegregation but white dollars or anyone else dollars didn't come in. There was no reciprocity in that way.
For black owned business to TRULY thrive post jim crow era its got to get EVERYBODIES DOLLARS NOT JUST BLACK DOLLARS! Which means you have to have a product or service thats popular or necessary universally. Only thinking in terms of getting black dollars for black-owned businesses just is not enough.
Yet the biggest issue among us is the argument that black dollars not circulating in the community is why black businesses fail. Thats a FALLACY! The same with give blacks cash and they will spend it on bullshit only. This kind of bullshit needs to STOP.
This is dumb. Our current "situation" is entirely dependent on what was done to our ancestors. Just economically, we'd have a strong economic base had that base not been stolen from our ancestors. Right now, whites TODAY literally control what is OURS.
If someone steals your parent's home. They've stolen from you as it would be yours when your parents die. People routinely are compensated for things don't to their ancestors. Death (of the repressed) doesn't absolve whites from the responsibility for their actions.

Listen... you can't hold people's hands forever. All I am hearing is that people want reparations, and they also want white daddy to hold their hands too.
What people decide to do with their funds (if reparations payments ever happens) is up to them. If they blow the money, then that's on them. You either want to be free, or you don't.

I think I poorly phrased that. I meant to say that our generation isn't exclusively owed. Our generation along with the following generations are owed. Not just us.
