This a good trade for the Eagles but for a team that needs playmakers....to pass up Devonta Smith or Pitts or Chase takes some balls.
And this is why I say the move is dumb. Eagles have shown they can't draft. They trading out of 6 where they were going to WALK into a game changer.
They already about to hoe Hurts.

I really think they are taking Mac Jones, if Zach Wilson is not available
Remember Robert Saleh (49ers D-coordinator) is now head coach of the Jets
And since the Jets pick #2, I wouldn't be surprised if Saleh & Shanny have been talking
Shanny might already know or have a general idea of what the Jets are going to do
So thats probably going to be.....
1. Jaguars == Trevor Lawrence
2. Jets == Zach Wilson
4. Falcons == who run a similar system to the 49ers == QB???
8. Panthers == desperate for a QB (especially since Watson is off the table)

Everyone & their mother knew the Panthers want a QB, so they were desperate to trade up to secure their guy
Miami at #3 put out the word, "selling our draft spot to the highest bidder"
And also the Eagles at #6 probably put the word out "selling our draft spot too"
There could've been 5 QB's taken in the first 6 spots
If the 49ers didn't make that move, the shit could've went down like this...
1. Jaguars == Lawrence
2. Jets == Wilson
3. Panthers (swapped with Miami) == QB
4. Falcons == maybe QB?
5. Bengals == O-line
6. Desparate team swapped with Philly == QB
7. Lions == ???
8. Miami == probably WR or something like that
Panthers would've jumped up from #8 to #3, if we didn't jump up first
You're looking at 5-6 QB's going in the top 10 (if not top 6) easily this year
So I don't know why people keep saying "Mac Jones probably would've fell to the #12 spot"

Plus he was getting a lot more buzz since his pro day, a couple days ago

I truly hate this love for pro day. Great throw how, the receiver had to speed up and stretch his arms out to make the catch. How is that a great throw. It's practice in sweats, you should look good.
You should've read some of the comments...many folks agree with you. The hilarity was off the charts with some of them.
