That's hash oil and that's what it looked like.but would hash oil have been available in the hood in the 90s? And mixing it with weed in a bag? Iono..I remember my smoke buddy pops coming in and buying a couple bags.

you growing hydro or soil? if hydro, what system?
not trying to sound like a broken record, but you dont need any of that shit with a good organic soil. if you are growing hydro, then yeah, because the water does not have the minerals and nutrients that the plant needs to thrive.
if you know for sure you want to use bottled nutrients, you can keep it simple by not falling for the hype. for example, advanced nutrients has an entire line of products. you could probably get by with just the 3 part system (micro, grow and bloom). and yeah, i would supplement with cal-mag. all that other shit is really not needed. i understand that it sounds good, but you really dont need it. and thats first hand experience. i switched to Canna and was using a 2 part system (grow and bloom). i got my micronutrients from another company, and cal-mag.

just another shameless plug for growing organic, i just bought a bottle of molasses out of whole foods for $5. that bottled shit from AN probably costs $20. just saying. soil is way simpler and much better for you. and cheaper.

Thanks for the info.
Man...to me, less is more.
No way I can keep up with all those products.

I want a system that can produce good results with solid base nutrients, some CalMag, A flush, and maybe one or two finishing products.

if it was pcp, you would never forget the smell. that shit is unmistakable and hard to hide. i dont remember it being oily tho, but could be wrong...
we used to bake weed in hershey's syrup and sell it as "chocolate". that was a bit oily.
hash was a oily, but that shit was compressed.
there are some strains that are kind of greasy, but nothing like being soaked in oil.
i would probably go with hash.

Getting back on track...

Has anyone tried the advanced nutrients line of products?

Specifically the “Bud Candy” supplement.

I have a 1 liter bottle of Andvanced Nutrients Very High Output (VHO) that I bought back in 2009, it is so concentrated that I use a dripper to add ot when I make up my foliar spray, great product but it is discontinued now. I tried to find some info on it for you and only found this, if you can read the 5 pages there are a few differences of opinions.

yes. i've used the entire lineup. bud candy is used at the end of flowering. you can get the same results with molasses, but i wont preach to you. anyways, yeah, its carbs for the plant. advanced nutrients are a reputable brand. they have about 10-15 products if thats your thing.

I use molasses, I have read it needs to be unsulphered. I add it to the reservoir to feed the plants (carbs) and also use it when I am brewing compost teas or mixing a batch of Michorrizae as they will feed on the sugar before innoculating the plants.
I use this one,

Amazon product ASIN B01G8PP0UA
@Thrill3Seeker if you can do the studying and have the time you can make your own nutrients, it is about understanding what delivers what the plant needs and when it needs it, but I prefer to buy ready made nutrients, it is consistantly the same and convenient. When the grow forum gets going I will start a thread with the links to articles that I read regarding making your own nutrients. There is a chapter in the pdf "Water & Nutrients" it is worth reading, it explains the basic ingrediants of the nutrients and explains the signs and symptoms of defficiencies.

All good advice that you have written 4th. I can vouch for Canna. I use the Aqua range (in my hydro set-up) also their Rhizotonic, Cal/Mag, and Boost Accelerator. I used to use their PK13/14 and Cannazym but on this current grow I have used Metrops Enzymes, I am very happy with it and it is very very concentrated so it goes a long way, I ditched Cannas PK13/14 when Buddhas Tree PK 9/18 came on the market about 6 years ago, i also use Buddhas Trees Solar Green Power which is their Silicon product, the only other thing that I regularly use is Superthrive.

Canna also have a complete organic range for Coco and soil but if I am going organic I believe that you cannot beat Bio-Bizz.

Oh yeah, I did use boost too. And the aqua grow and bloom.

@SamSneed you got bit by the Borgs again? It must have been eggs that hatched, whatever you used killed off the bugs but not the eggs. See if you can get you some of that Dynamec, or look into getting a flourescent UV kit from SolarCure, good for killing the bugs and for the plants to create resins and terpenes.

Hey yo madhouse

I got some shit called London cello...

Been smoking it for three days..

And can't tell if it's an indica sativa or hybrid...

Not too much info on it..

Ya ever hear of it??

@Mrfreddygoodbud
madhouse

London Cello? No never hear of it.

Is that cello as in the string instrument or it could be an abbreviation for cellotape (what you guys call Scotch tape) or cellophane which is the kitchen wrap that you would typically wrap drugs up in?

I'll do some homework and get back to you.

@Mrfreddygoodbud

Londonchello
STRAIN DETAILS
Londonchello is a potent hybrid marijuana strain bred by Cookies and Lemonnade. Not much is known about this strain except that it is believed to taste sweet and sour like a fruit tarte, with an aroma that reminds you of berry lemonade. According to the breeder, Londonchello will give you a potent head high, but you'll still be functional enough to socialize or get some creative work done. Londonchello buds are tall with shades of brown and hairs that are bright orange. Medical marijuana patients choose this strain for its ability to relieve symptoms related to chronic stress and anxiety.

So nobody up in here makes edibles?

I have a friend who has a friend. I will be passing him all my unwanted trim off the next run that usually goes out as garbage. What did you want to know? It could take a while for the question to travel to where it needs to get to and then for the answer to get back to me though.

Been trying to figure out if after so much flower does it become redundant to add more. From what I've read the fat can only absorb so much flower. Normal dose 28 gram per cup.

Hey madgoose have you ever made bubble hash? And if so we're you happy with results?

OK so what I understand from your question is: Is there a threshold or ceiling to the limit of flower that the fat can absorb/hold?

Please understand i am going to have to ask this question to somebody else who has to ask it to somebody else but that person is about as professional as it gets in Europe. Grows in Spain, manufactures edibles in Holland and markets in the UK so to save the back and forth to get the right answer for you I am trying to understand the question correctly at the start to save the back and forth.

@baboss2212 you want to chip in with some info?

2 me....it depends on how strong u want your tincture. I've done it with 17 grams...I've done it wit 35 grams. The one I've done with 35 grams came out stronger and darker. So we do it wit at least 28 grams to a fifth of Everclear.

Man that Eva was too much for me I guess because I've never been a drinker. I use coconut oil.

Bruh, I use the 190 proof everclear to make my tinctures.. Whats the best way to get that booze/everclear taste out my tinctures?? I dont have a problem with the everclear taste, but those around me bitch about it..

Hey madgoose have you ever made bubble hash? And if so we're you happy with results?

No, I used to smoke hash a lot back in the mid 80' through to the mid 90s. I had a friend that used to get very good "Pakistani Black/Red Seal" with a gold stamp on the kilo either Romeo or Juliet. Then there was "Rocky", or "Soap bar" (named because it came in 9 ounce bars) Moroccan hash but it started to be cut with Henna that gave it an acrid plastic smell/taste so it became less popular, I once had some Tibetan Temple Ball laced with Opium that had me falling down 5 flights of stairs the next morning, mad gear!

I gave up smoking hash regularly because it made me cough a lot in the mornings and left me feeling congested. That said when I harvest I do make some "finger hash" from the stuff on my hands and trimming tools which is nice.

Did you know that Hashish gets it's name from the Order of Assassins? The ate it the night before going out on their missions.

Order of Assassins
"The Assassins were a Nizari Isma'ili sect of Shia Islam who lived in the mountains of Persia and in Syria between 1090 and 1275. During that time, they held a strict subterfuge policy throughout the Middle East through the covert murder of first Muslim and later Christian leaders that were considered enemies of their state. The modern term assassination is based on the tactics used by the Assassins. "

Hashish
"Hashish has been consumed for many centuries, though there is no clear evidence as to its first appearance.[12] North India and Nepal have a long social tradition in the production of hashish, known locally as charas.[13]
The first attestation of the term "hashish" is in a pamphlet published in Cairo in 1123 CE, accusing Nizari Muslims of being "hashish-eaters".[14] The 13th-century Ibn Taymiyyah prohibited the use of hashish; he mentioned that it was introduced to Levant with the Mongol invasion (throughout the 13th century).[15] Smoking did not become common in the Old World until after the introduction of tobacco; until the 1500s, hashish was consumed as an edible in the Muslim world.[16]"

Hashashin

"When the Christian Crusaders in the East fell upon that invincible order of Assassins, the order of free spirits par excellence, the lowest rank of whom lived a life of obedience the like of which no monastic order has ever achieved, somehow or other they received an inkling of that symbol and watchword that was reserved for the highest ranks alone as their secretum: ‘nothing is true, everything is permitted’, certainly that was freedom of the mind [des Geistes], with that the termination of the belief in truth was announced" - Philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche

hash/hashish 13, 78, 85, 87, 381-(384)-389, 391-395, 397-403, 405-411 hand-rubbed 85, 383, 384 pressed 393, 407, 408, 410 water-extracted 188, 383, 384, 389, 393, 396, 406-408
HASHISH! 388, 411, 412

just adding on. I buy pint size mason jars, use 1/2 oz cannabis and fill the jar with the everclear and/or oil. makes at least 12 amber bottles.
