I recently finished watching the series. And I think this was a solid and funny show. The chemistry between John Witherspoon, Marlon and Shawn Wayans was excellent. And later Ann Marie Horsford. I would say overall most of the episodes were good. In my opinion Seasons 3-5 were the best. The first 2 seasons were good but I think 3-5 were better.

There was only 1 episode that kind of pissed me off though. It was the drug episode. Which I saw as a kid. And thought it was total bullshit. the synopsis was Marlon was hanging out with a Hollywood actor that smoked "weed". So Marlon gets influenced to smoke "weed" in order to calm his nerves for an audition. But he blows the audition by acting crazy while high. And the end the episode with a PSA message. Don't do drugs. I didn't have a problem with the message of the episode. Its the fact they targeted the usage of marihuana. The way that mofo was acting, that wasn't no damn weed he was smoking. Unless it was laced with angel dust or wet(aka embalming fluid). But they made no mention of either one during the episode.

Other than that, I thought the Wayans brothers could have lasted a few more seasons. But they were amongst a host of other shows that got cancelled back in 1999/2000. I would recommend this show if anyone haven't seen it before.

Thanks for the review. I caught bits and pieces of it back in the day. Definitely enjoyed what I saw!

Almost finished 8 (of 10) episodes for The Wilds.

It's been hit and miss along the way, but we've kept with it.

Pros - the ups and downs amongst the group, the back story and character development and how the story is pieced together. Plus, the weathered look many take on after being stranded and sun-exposed so long. Some good acting at times amongst the younger cast - some more believable than others.

Cons - Think it may have worked better at 6 - 8 episodes, though that would have decreased the ability to character develop as much. Having enjoyed shorter seasons and limited series like Lupin, Peaky Blinders, Trackers, Goliath, and Coyote ... felt they could have condensed it a bit. Or shorten the episodes by 10 - 15 mins. Plus, there's only a few likeable characters amongst the crew. Also, show more about the true survival - water hydration & legit food intake, as they didn't appear to be able to forage much on the island. Seemed like they were surviving on minimal water, pop, chips, snacks, etc. What else? Coconuts, bananas, boiling water, catching fish? Were those options? Would have appreciated seeing that ...

The Wilds is an American drama streaming television series created by Sarah Streicher for Prime Video. The series centers around a group of teenage girls who are left stranded on a deserted island after a plane crash, but are unaware they are the subjects of a social experiment. The ensemble cast features Sophia Ali, Reign Edwards, Shannon Berry, Jenna Clause, Mia Healey, Helena Howard, Erana James, Sarah Pidgeon, David Sullivan, Troy Winbush, and Rachel Griffiths. The first season was released on Prime Video on December 11, 2020 and received positive reviews from critics, with praise for the performances, writing, and plot. In December 2020, the series was renewed for a second season.

Liked how they closed out the season. There were a few key scenes they should have probably extended (to draw out further tension). Good way to set up a second season at the end. Simple and effective.

This is a horror series that plays out more like a character drama.

It debuted around December of last year and I been watching about a episode a week.

This is a slow series. It's why I been watching about a episode a week.

It does have action and suspense in each episode, but it's not enough to hold you. This is not a series if you suffer from TV ADHD, if you suffer from it, you will not make it past episode one for sure.

The SFX and VFX is done well with the monsters and violence. The series looks godd and clean visually. The premise is interesting and it does play out well.

For the Thirsty, there are a couple of cuties in the series. No nudity or sexy outfits are worn, so don't get yourself excited.

If you looking for something to watch to stretch out over some time, this should do. There are 10 episodes that run for about 45min.

The series is from Korea and Netflix has it dubbed in English. Subtitles are used when signage is shown.

Synopsis

As humans turn into savage monsters, one troubled teenager and his neighbours fight to survive and to hold onto their humanity.

This series just debuted on Netflix and currently is rating high on the service.

It is a post-apocalyptic SCI-FI show that is presented very well.

The series sort of plays out like the "Hunger Games", but it plays out in its own unique way.

The first season is 6 episodes that run about 45min each. I binged them this past Sunday afternoon.

The first episode fully explains the main plot/premise of the show. It also introduces all the major characters and their connections to each other.

Episode 2, the first 10 minutes introduces a major sub-primary character that will follow along with the show.

After that the series slows down and mainly focus' on character and story development. Good chance the series will lose you by the end of episode 3 if you have a short attention span.

The series focus on three main characters and goes back and forth between those three.

Action is minimal. What SFX is shown is done well. The series looks good visually with decent locations used.

For the Anti-Gay members, there is brief lesbian kissing, nothing else is shown. There is also a female leader who has a stable of men as her sex slaves, she has them dolled up in make-up. No gay sex is shown.

For the militants, the show is heavy with bi-racial, multi-cultural, non-white characters thru-out. Even though the series is from Germany, it is not a all White Boy production.

For the In-Cell folks, there is a female leader who has slave men for her pleasure. One of the lead male characters, she rapes him to show him she has the power. If you object to seeing women in positions of power, the scene will definitely disturb you. It's not graphic, but you will get the point.

The series is from Germany and Netflix has it dubbed in English. Subtitles are used for signage.

If you enjoyed "Into The Badlands", you should like this.

Synopsis

In 2070, three siblings set out to change the fate of Europe after a global catastrophe fractures it into countless micro-states fighting for dominance.

This is a new series that debut this past January on the SyFy Channel and later Hulu premium after they debut..

It is based off a popular comic book.

So far they have debuted 4 episodes. There will be 7 episodes total for the first season. Each episode runs about a hour.

I watched the first 4 episodes and it is a pretty decent dark comedy, sci-fi series.

There is nothing for SFX, it is all about story. The premise has been done in prior movies, this one is done with more dark comedy.

The primary characters are all introduced in the first episode and story/character development is done also in the pilot.

The characters are all unique, the Black Sheriff is pure comedy and is my favorite.

The alien's mission is given in episode one. The primary plot of the show is if he plans on carrying out that mission.

There is a Native American actress who is a primary character and she is a cutie. She got thick child bearing thighs and wide hips that are displayed nicely in jeans in the first episode. Other Native American women shown are cuties also.

The series debuts new episodes Wednesday nights. If you looking for something to watch cuz there really ain't much new shit coming out due to the pandemic, this should hold you over.

Synopsis

An alien crashes on Earth and hides in a remote Colorado mountain town; after assuming the identity of the town doctor, his nefarious mission is threatened when he realizes one of the townspeople, a 9-year-old boy, can see his true alien form.

Finished the 3rd season of Peaky Blinders. Starting the 4th next week. Nice having the short, 6-ep seasons.

EXCLUSIVE: With yesterday’s news that BAFTA-winning period gangster epic Peaky Blinders will conclude with its sixth season came a promise of the series continuing “in another form,” creator Steven Knight said. Elaborating on that, he tells Deadline, “Covid changed our plans. But I can say that my plan from the beginning was to end Peaky with a movie. That is what is going to happen.”

A film has long been considered for the series, and while there are no details for the moment and Deadline understands that nothing has been formalized, it would seem a logical extension for the show which has become its own industry — or as Knight has told me in the past, Peaky is “a beast that will not die.” There have been tie-in books, clothing lines, an official soundtrack and a video game. Knight has also been approached about a spinoff ballet version and a West End musical.

The Good Lord Bird

Based on the National Book Award-winning novel by bestselling author James McBride, The Good Lord Bird is told from the point of view of Onion, an enslaved teenager who becomes a member in Brown’s motley family during the time of Bleeding Kansas, eventually participating in the famous 1859 raid on the Army depot at Harpers Ferry. Brown’s raid failed to initiate the slave revolt he intended, but was the instigating event that started the Civil War.

Started out good, definitely did not see that ending coming..

Has two favorites of mine in the cast(Kylie Bunbury & Natalie Alyn Lind)so ill keep watching
Kylie Bunbury is fine as a motherfucker. I know she married a CAC, but her mother is White, so ehh, she's half...and half one of us. She just picked the wrong side to marry

But damn I love this woman. I'm 3 episodes in an I like it so far

I watched the Pitch cause of her. She is killing those jeans in Big Sky.

The show got a lot better, though. It was background noise for a few episodes then I was looking forward to the next episode. Yes they all do questionable dumb stuff but its TV.

You perv! How dare you objectify those two, voluptuous, sexy women with pretty faces, nice asses and tits in that way! How dare you, sir! As a matter of fact, I'll have to watch every episode in order to find evidence to counter this heinous attack on their virtue. You sir, are disgusting. You should be ashamed of yourself; staring at their tight, round buttocks and protruding breasts in that manner. You sick, sick man, you! I'll have to examine this show very closely to find evidence of the contrary in order to refute your outrageous claims.

Shit at this point man I expect all these shows to be one and done unless they are a spin-off of Law and Order or a medical series. Nothing stands a chance on network TV it seems.

And Networks are afraid to even venture out like cable networks have the ability to do.

Finished this on Hulu. Very well done. I'm shocked FX did a series like this. Not because they are scared too....I'm just shocked they green lit a series starring Bimmie, Big U, Deb Antey, Trick Trick and Haitian Jack.

I'll be honest I don't even know what this shit is about. Is it that if it wasn't for the streets there'd be no Hip Hop? Good nonetheless.

I'm late as hell but I finally started watching The Sopranos. So far so good.

I envy y'all when y'all haven't seen a classic show yet. That's gonna be a great ride and you get to watch it on your own time.

i swear Jonathan Tucker has been in at least 4 failed series on NBC

He has. Seems to fair alright on other networks for some reason. Maybe because NBC decides to have him headline shit.

I ain't gonna lie though I'm still kind of mad Black Donnelly's got cancelled. That shit had potential. Had they took that shit to HBO it would've lasted longer.
