I noticed that most White people on the list received full pardons, while Black people mostly got their sentences commuted. There is a difference. If a sentence is commuted, the conviction is still on your record, and if you were convicted of a felony, you're still a convicted felon, which means in some states, you can't vote. It also means you still have to deal with the stigma of having the offense on your record. While it's great to be freed from jail,, you've still gotta deal with bullshit if you only got your sentence commuted. If you get a full pardon, it's all good for you, as every record of the crime is taken off your record.
Plus, its political suicide for anyone to give a pardon to someone who was convicted for killing a cop. That case wasn’t one of those cases where it was blatantly obvious that an innocent man was in jail. This was a controversial case that had so called witnesses confirming his guilt. I don’t know what happened that day and. I’m personally inclined to not believe anything whites have to say, but having doubts and pardoning a man who was convicted as a cop is not what politicians do.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t recall any modern day president giving a pardon to anyone convicted of murder or real rape (not statutory)

We spent every waking moment shunning him and his administration as a group and called him and his followers racist. We didn't vote for him compared to others, and we admonished black people who worked, or even met with him.

I don't think that's an issue for Black people on BGOL or Black people in America in general.
I think Biden's win was more of a judgement on how bad Trump was as president vs Black folks wanting Biden to win. IMO if there is no pandemic, Black folks largely stay home again as we did in 2016 and Trump cruises to a second term.
