Joe Biden is now POTUS

You didn't notice something though?

His increase in vote count almost perfectly matched up with the increase of total votes from 2016. So essentially, in all those districts, the only new people that registered and actually voted were Trump supporters? Not buying it.
bro, fraud all over the country. These people don't win votes, they steal them!!!!

NC US House maps struck down for 2020 in gerrymandering

rif.png

...The legislature must now redraw the state’s 13 U.S. House districts. The judge — two Democrats and one Republican from different parts of North Carolina — wrote that the maps show signs of “extreme partisan gerrymandering” which “is contrary to the fundamental right of North Carolina citizens to have elections conducted freely and honestly to ascertain, fairly and truthfully, the will of the people.”

Monday’s ruling, a preliminary injunction, said the state may not hold any elections for Congress using the current maps passed in 2016. Those maps replaced a different set of maps from 2011, also drawn by the Republican-led legislature, which were struck down as unconstitutional racial gerrymandering...

I was just reading an article about this. repugs have made significant gains in state assemblies meaning they'll draw the maps for the next decade or so. Add to that the SCOTUS and unless the senate flips at midterms, the senate.

The warning in the article was that there will come a trump-like politician who is actually politically savvy to take advantage of the structure repugs have erected.

The message is clear: we cannot rest.

*the article is on my digital subscription to The Atlantic and I can't link it here. The title is: America's Next Authoritarian Will Be Much More Competent by Zeynep Tufekci.

I urge you to seek it out and read it.

This shit is far from over.

I completely understand what you are saying. However, there are some who believe that there is never a perfect time to demand change. There are many who do not care for republicans or democrats. Therefore, timing becomes somewhat irrelevant. Also, some would argue that before an election is the perfect time to present demands.

What does suck tho is the deliberate push of misinformation regarding his involvement and relationship to Trump. Cube has said numerous times that he does not support Trump nor is he voting for Trump. Yet democrats are going ham with the "Ice Cube is a Trump supporter" rhetoric when they know this is a flat out lie. And for what? Because he presented demands to both parties?? History will not look back favorably on this, I assure you.

The time to vet folks is during the primaries, not two weeks before an election.

I've said this to multiple people.

The Lincoln Project built a following with that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" approach to this election but it will come back to haunt Democrats now that Trump is officially out.

Don't be surprised if that war chest is used in the Georgia run off elections.

NO we've got a bit of time yet. They still want to flip the senate and get McConnell out as majority leader. They don't like McConnell or Lindsey Graham and a few others. They didn't just target the POTUS, they were going after congress critters also.

That said, I said before we had maybe 18-24 mos before they show out but now I'm thinking we may have 2-3 years before they target us, depending on who the GOP puts up to run for POTUS in 2024.

I agree that their attention may be preoccupied, but we can't afford to allow their internal turmoil to appear as allies. Dems could have accepted these Republicans without compromising the optics in their base - John Kasich.

Yeah, both sides draw their own districts but Dems don't get taken to court and been found to have to be told to redraw them due to nefarious reasons.

The point is that the question was asking how a GOP Senator win in the same place that voted Dem for President as though it doesn't make sense or is some conspiracy.

It's house and district races that get gerrymandered. Senate is statewide.

Where is that motherfucker at :lol:
Dude whole analogical skills were thrown in the garbage. Oh...the memories of going back forth with that dude
