Question: Although, Dee was the only one who could see Topsy and Mopsy, were they just figments of her imagination? I ask because when Montrose was holding her there appeared to be streaks of blood on her dress?
only she could see them, but what they were doing to her was real. She asked the cop dude "what happens when they catch me?"
I could be wrong, but based off what I could see from the previews, looked like she's turning into one them.

Episode 8 of Lovecraft Country is the number one reason I don't date white women at all. They don't understand what we go through just being black so they won't understand shit our children will go through just being black.
They will look at them and many times they don't even have the ability to empathize because they just don't fucking get it.

That is exactly what is happening. People have a hard time following cause it's not told in a traditional way. Every episode is told certain way from thriller, adventure, horror and sci-fi.
But they all will get powers to fight a bigger threat. Because fighting against just cops will have an episode be like 5 minutes. As we seen in the last one.
