I can admit how things are sometimes presented is divisive. I used divisive language in this thread with you. If I were saying this as public policy, I'd use more careful wording to get my message across about ADOS movement and the relationship to black immigrants. Presentation is everything. I often make the point about Obama and white privilege. He may say that shit behind closed doors, but never used that term out in public while campaigning or in office. And it worked. He was able to bring up systemic racism WITHOUT alienating whites. ADOS movement can function without publicly saying things that can alienate black immigrant as allies. At the same time, we should expect black immigrants not to prop up the political system and undercut the efforts.
Again, we in the barbershop here, so it's rough around the edges. The movement needs polished spokespeople who understand politics and that perception matters. Nobody has. I've always supported reparations for black folks (black Americans) it's owed 100%. I've always doubted that the most racist country on the planet would ever pay them though (as we stand today with race relations) doubting racist ass America "will pay" is a far cry from thinking black Americans don't deserve them. Black immigrants and non ADOS arent willing to mess their relationships up with White America by demanding they pay us reparations. We have long term posters that post about ADOS athletes, music and actors, marvel movies, etc, 100s of times a day but have never made 1 post promoting reparations.

Descendents of slaves in America need to be included, no matter how long they were enslaved, no matter where they came from, no matter how they got here.
I dont agree that those Haitians, that he's referring to that came to Louisiana after their Haitian revolution, should be discredited or excluded from the ADOS movement.
