The problem isn't asking or demanding its the tearing down of other black peoples in the process. These folks are saying that folks opposed to ados, are opposed because of white liberals, I've never seen a white liberal even speak on it. If the stats posted earlier are true, they are worried about 10% of our 13% getting compensation. It makes so sense.
My introduction to, and the majority of the info I see regarding ados, comes straight from BGOL and it all has a tinge of disdain for others folks whose slave ship just happened to land some place else.
Now, they are talking about only DOAS people should go to HBCU's. I don't know what the demographics are, but unless they become state sponsored, how do they make money like that?
What we want is clear though. That's a game. Equality and justice doesn't need to be laid out with power point. If this was an unintended consequences like lgbt things then sure. Which is also another point. These other groups are like we understand you hate african Americans but this is affecting us too. We don't want to overhaul the injustices to them just tweak it so it doesn't affect us.
So I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with you on this particular position. They know. They knew. They keep enacting the laws to do the things we don't want done. It's on purpose. So all we need to ask for is for them to stop creating injustice and give us true equality that we are owed.

Again the loud minority shaping the view of the majority is something we don't want white people doing to us so why do it to the loud wrong ados people? No state or federal tax
Free education at any and all universities.
Grants for businesses, property to own that has been stolen from black people. Police accountability across the board. Fair housing practices that cannot be circumvented. Just to start. These are things that are already known tho

The loud minority are repeating word for word and tweet for tweet what the likes of Tariq, Yvette and Tone put out who are the ones with the platforms promoting division. How do you separate them from the experts who are the voice of the movement? The folks we have running around on BGOL are just parroting their talking points.

So, I'm supposed to sign on to ados because I want reparations and ignore the harm/potential harm they are doing to other black peoples? To be clear. There was already a divisions between ADOS and non ADOS folk. Most black immigrants have made it clear that they did not and do not want to be labeled or confused by others as being black.
Many ADOS folks are just acknowledging that reality.

Show me where this has been presented to congress and where people are lobbying people to bring it to pass. What I've seen so far are comments about what candidate xyz has said about reparations but no concerted effort to organize like other groups, and why isn't this the topic of discussion instead of other black peoples who have nothing to do with it?

How about this:
A) Call your two senators
B) Write your local and state representatives
C) Start a 501(C)(3)
D) Find lobbyists that have good relationships with the lawmakers who will eventually introduce legislation
E) Recruit and back grassroot candidates who will campaign on those list of things
F) Organize and mobilize: keep the heat up and hold people accountable
Not for you in particular but those are some things that can be done.

Idk how many times we need to follow the exacting rules they made up to hold up back expecting them to do right by us somehow some "right way to do it"
If they cared or wanted to help they would. If they need a massive national movement to do the right thing why are they in charge of governing us?
