Lovecraft Country - HBO series Official Thread - Premieres August

Not a coincidence White She Devil : Christina Braithwhite gave Leti the money to buy the house and who cleaned the blood and moved the bodies to the secret tunnel and I doubt if Leti and Atticus done it and open the house to people to live in. And what about the supernatural symbols appeared in the tunnels. The ghost are gone and the elevator is still moving on it's own.

I watched it again, and I am not so sure the ghosts are gone? Hiram Epstein, the previous owner, who was kidnapping and conducting experiments on the black victims was banished from the home by Leti and the other spirits.

Really good show.. still vibing real well....

Question when Atticus pops(Uncle[Omar]) was like:

"So what. You want to tell them that Wizards exist? That white folks got magic on their side too."

Around the 12 min mark.

So is it understood that Black people have access to magic or is this in relation to old school voodoo or something? Anybody got any insight on this (those that didn't read the book)?

For those that did read the book will this be explained?

Due to dynamics of the time, obviously it's not restricted just to that time period but given the time period. There was a certain amount of power when she made that statement:

Montrose was referring to the occult, Santeria, Condomble, etc. I am not versed in the subject, however, I have heard stories.

I’m constantly awed by what I see on Lovecraft. My wife wanted me to give her a quick and dirty, and I can’t. Too many things going on. Plus Omar being Omar. Just when I thought he was boutta hit some Arawak pussai, he reverted to form. Clearly he knows more than anybody else, but what?
Btw, looks like we’re getting a peek at Big Ruby’s tittays next week, huh?

This show is something else man I'm glad HBO grew a pair and produced something this bold and innovative. This and "Raised by Wolves" have my attention now.
true that .just wished they dropped all the episode at once.hate waiting each week.
this episode reminded of Indiana Jones lol
yep mixed with goonies at the end with the dead bodys and the flood.

What the hell was going on at the sherrifs office that the white chick was looking at?
