You're right dawg
OG Investor
.
Char trying to shop the "black network deal" to spotify but they didn't pay what he wanted. So he resigned to iheart for less than he wanted.

Said he was offered that deal first but declined it because he's not gonna help spotify cheat black creators taking half of their revenue and not doing shit for it.

Said char went to a lot of other dsps trying to get more money but they told him to gtfoh.

Said he believes but has no proof that char is the one behind the smear campaign because it's coming indirectly from char acquaintances and iheart employees. Does not think it was spotify.

Says if the attacks continue he will go to south carolina and speak with the girl that says char raped her when she was 15. Rory tried to stop him but joe is on one lol.

Says char told him on the phone he's doing bad business but joe said I've made multiple millions doing THIS way and char was dead quiet.

A bunch of other shit. Hints that there's a huge deal to be announced with the jbp while char is still nothing more than an employee that made iheart billions while they pay him pennies after 10 years.

With ownership of the breakfast club they could've had a slice of syndication in every city they're in but now they get not a fucking thing and can't get bring in their own ads because iheart has their own in place which they don't touch.

I for one am glad joe snapped on that bitch ass migga he a fake woke nigga that's really only looking out for self.

Joe said he's been in meetings with huge companies to bring jbp over to them and he's had multiple blank check statements.

Employer vs. Employee talk.
Bro, many people on this board will never understand this. They are too busy begging the government for crumbs instead of wanting to bake their own bread.

We have to own our stuff, including homes. So, that means if you need to downgrade your standard of living to afford a $50K or $75k home, so be it. Buy it, pay it off fast. And use it to buy another one.

People are not willing to sacrifice anymore. Its all about instant gratification.

it's funny every business has gotten crumbs from the government to help build it or maintain it (covid 19 grants and loans). Yet, when regular folk ask for a cut whether it be for loans, business, or even some sort of loan forgiveness, it's a problem?

When you say “regular folk” what do you mean?

EVERYBODY works for somebody whether its the man, sponsors, or customers. Also, everybody doesn't want ownership or have the requisite skills to run a business. Some folks are just good at what they do and try to get paid as much as they can to do it.

Only ignorant people shit on people with jobs and careers.

Look how many OWNERS are filing for Bankruptcy right now. Dan Snyder owns the Redskins but they are about to make him sell it. Sterling -Clippers, Marge Schott.

Whatever this nigga said, it don’t matter. What Charlamagne said was simple. Joe signed a contract with Spotify and now mad at the shit he signed. He talk about ownership and blah, blah, but Joe put pen to paper and is now complaining about the road he went down. This nigga acts like every non-responsibility taking-chick that’s mad at the wack nigga they decided to choose on.

Actually he's was talking about contract negotiations towards the next contract. He honored the current contract and was upset at the things being offered (used watches, etc)

So let me get this straight, Joe Budden's little podcast is bigger than everything Charlemagne has done and is doing? Simply because he is working for iHeart and MTV? I guess. And what Charlemagne said wasn't even that bad. From what I gather Joe was saying he turned down a big deal from Spotify.
He was holding out to try to get some real ownership or more money. You could tell Rory and Mal would've got a big payday so they look kind of quiet as he's speaking about this. Hope it doesn't come back to bite him in the ass. This is what CTG said.

Joe is emotional as usual. He's on some Monique shit. CTG has done bigger things than him. Joe sounds silly trying to little boy him. Both them dudes get on my nerves sometimes.

OK, I see then. Then yeah, if a contract is coming up for renewal and they are dicking around then I can understand he position.

Joe Budden talking about ownership but mad he can't take a day off?

Owners dont take a day off.

Unless he owns a streaming service or a social network, he is a worker.

Nothing wrong with being a worker if you got a good deal.

You are never gonna make more than the person above you, but that is the GAME.

Every business?

government is not designed for “regular folk” which is why it is foolish to depend on it.

if you know there is a system of oppression in place, acknowledge it, learn the rules and beat it. It is not complex but people don’t want to put the time in to research the loopholes. I don’t understand how you can continue to depend on the government but complain about it when the entire purpose of the government is to uphold the current money system which will keep the people in perpetual debt to the international banking cartels.

I don’t know the whole story. But I perfectly understand two of the things Joe spoke about. I don’t know C tha god’s position in this.

There is a difference between getting crumbs to survive and getting crumbs to grow your own food. I always encourage people to seek out every government grant available. It's your money. Seek every tax break available. It's your right. But, do not get caught in the cycle of depending on the government to survive. I consult with non-profits and the biggest issue by far is the inability to maintain operations with outside assistance. The goal for all people should be self-sustainability or at the very least, the increase of assets over time.

Don't pull yourself up from your bootstraps. Grab one of the many ropes and ladders and climb.

And this is also a point people refuse to accept. I've stated this numerous times and I will share again.

Nearly 50% of congress are millionaires. Millionaires represent 1% of the U.S population. Therefore, individuals representing the 1% controls 50% of government. Think about that. Noone will vote or create policies against his or her own personal interests.

The tools are there. Even on the forum there are numerous resources to build wealth.

name one business that doesn't get a tax break of some sort? What the fuck do you think a schedule c is?

My point, moron, is that regular people cry about folks getting "free" shit from the government when big businesses are getting free shit and handouts left and right.

The problem is not free stuff. You are right on regarding tax breaks, abatements, grants, etc. But these are all vehicles to create wealth. Receiving crumbs to "get you by" is a means of control and pacifism. You never become independent that way. There are too many provisions that will prevent you from that while accepting the dependency "handouts."

Yes, some people do need help to survive. But, most people could improve their situation with a few lifestyle and mentality changes.

Basically, C was saying that Joe was stupid for walking away from the Spotify deal. Joe maintains that the deal relinquished control.

Ok, now I get the “I own this” comment. Creative control is important. But I didn’t even know he had a show really. Id seen him on a podcast or two, but didn’t know he had his own.

Joe speaking truth but dude to people slicing up clips I don't think I heard what Charlamagne said fully. Because all I heard him say was his business ain't right. He didn't say shit about him not owning his own or that he should relinquish control. Seem slick Joe energy is misplaced but maybe I didn't hear all of what Charlamagne said.

I can't rock with Carlamagne though. He just makes too many suspect comments for me and I hate that he's sort of become the voice for black people. He's closer to Stephen A Smith then he is Killer Mike.

Dan Snyder owns the Redskins but they are about to make him sell it.

A coalition was formed that hit Dan in his pocket. The bad press didn’t help, but it’s more about money. This coalition controlled some 600 billion dollars. They influenced sponsors to pull merchandise with the name and logo. Dan has tried to clean everything up. I got more I want to speak on about it, because it’s my team. But I won’t. Changing the name does both me so much.

charlemagne went at monique and now also joe budden. he is an agent
And an idiot. The Budden clip made me check what Charlemagne actually said. He sounds like a dam fool. And publicly speaking on someones ongoing negotiations is ho shit. Especially when coming from an employee speaking on the demands of someone who owns his content.

Not the first time he has taken the side of white corporation over black creatives tho.

I wasn’t clear enough. But I rewatched. And it was a coalition of 85 Native American investment groups and their allies. They had a portfolio of 620 billion dollars. They spent a whole decade buying stock in companies that supported Washington Football team, including FedEx (who sponsors the stadium). And they pushed for the name change.

See what groups of people with money can do?

to make shit worse they worked together on different projects. joe thinking we helping each other as black men and charlemagne thinking i am helping me.

Charlemagne is a ignorant to what joe is dealing business wise. He speaking from an employee mindset. He owns NOTHING at iheartradio/breakfast club. He gets paid to be entertainment (very well in fact, but still an employee).

Joe OWNS the podcast. He can't do deals as an owner with an employee mindset. It's the reason alot of music artists end up broke because they got paid upfront instead of owning their music and getting the royalties.

From my understanding, spotify wanted 80% of the revenue from the podcast in addition to part ownership in order for Joe's podcast to remain on the spotify platform. That's Don King level robbery. Joe would be foolish to take that deal.

Straight up Don King shit. Instead of paying them guys cash money like most professionals, spotify tried to finesse them with jewelry.

Notice they didn't pull none of that bs with Joe Rogan. Rogan got $100 million just to move to spotify while still keeping 100% ownership of his content/media.

But see that's what I thought Charlamagne said. He said Joe keeps getting in these bad business deals. I didn't hear what he said after that so if he said other shit I didn't hear but I didn't think what he said was that outlandish but it trigged Joe.

And does Charlamagne not own this shit?
