Ill bite. Once again, you have to dig deeper and not just post tweets as an answer to a discussion.
Opportunity Zones have not helped black businesses. It provides tax incentives to invest in low income communities, but this is basically facilitating largely white institutions investing in our communities. Now, think of what that could have done if they simply invested in black businesses. They had their chance with Covid and they showed their true intentions. Ask the one question: have Opportunity Zones been successful? Have they helped Black businesses or assisted in job creation? Or have they focused on luxury hotels in urban areas where a Congressman has worked to draw an Opportunity zone for their partners

Now there is a real opportunity to refine Opportunity Zones and actually make them work by restricting the types of businesses, etc.. Guess who is proposing that? Guess who is proposing funding directly for minority communities impacted by COVID? Here:
Minority Businesses and COVID
Will Republicans support? They have the Senate and Presidency. They have shown a willingness to support black communities (per your tweet). Surely they would be moving to seriously take this bill up for discussion at the very least right?
HBCU funding - This was a bi-partisan bill from Congress. The President just signed it. But I will give credit to DoE for supporting HBCUs in terms of loan forgiveness, etc. I just ask that they tell the truth. The funding was ending and Congress passed the bill. I wonder who were the 96 senators who voted against?Guess who co-sponsored (Doug Jones - Alabama). Same Doug Jones y’all talked shit about in one of these threads. Can’t have it both ways champ.
Black Incomes. He simply road the wave of the economy that has been trending upward since 2012 . The fact that every graph that has been shown on black unemployment and incomes show a sharp increase during the tale end of the Bush Presidency, a top out for under Obama’s first Presidency and a sharp decrease in Obama’s Second Term and y’all choose to ignore it speaks volumes. Literally, will ignore facts to down Obama and wrongly allow Trump to take credit for turning around the Economy. Here:
Black Income is Rising
School Choice is a Policy Discussion and I fundamentally disagree with that approach. However, if that is something you want to tout, so be it.
Im through.
