When will it be normal again?

Ummm 60 yrs ago... Yet the world has progressed vastly since than and yet they still survived easier with less tech.. Shouldn't the people with more modern tech and science be better off? History always showing it face that been through it and progressed
What I'm saying is new technology could be implemented. Example, in china they have thermometers all over the place in public. Before you get on a crowded train and infect others they can stop you.

Thank you. Also what does he mean by no one remembered it? Was he alive back then? How are are most people. Anyone that lived through it will remember it. That is like asking a 2 year old if they remember WWII!

Technology is much different now. How much could really change back then?

Why are you looking at it that way?
Because we are so much smarter today it shows you have fucked up COVID-19 is!!!!!!
OMG!!

Compare a kid from the 80s to a kid from 2000 or 2010.. We rode our bikes with no protection , this kids wear safety equipment like they about to go into battle.. We fell, we got scratches, bruises, yet we got back up and rode again.. These kids don't get hurt cause they got all this safety equipment on.. They don't know what pain is or know the effects of fucking up.. You didn't want to fall in the 80s so it motivated you to do better or else it would be consequences... When you got pads on you can't comprehend consequences so it's less motivation or less ability to tolerate pain... The people from that era were like the bike riders of the 80s.. We acting like the bike riders of the 2000s... It's not the virus it's the people... Just like it's not the fall it's the era of the kid

You not the only person with elderly parents and family.. Hell some of my family would be perfect candidates for who the virus would defeat but guess what they practice precaution and don't have self defeated attitudes.. They are cheery, still cracking jokes, and weathering the storm.. I make sure they good, call them, sometimes bring them a few items .. I can't afford to be scary cause other people's lives are in my hands.. Somebody gotta run get medication, get supplies, make sure s hit organized for them.. Most my aunts, uncles, mom late 60s so I got make sure they all good.. None of them acting scary so why should i.. Man up, shake the obstacle that's in front of you, laugh, take precautions, and enjoy life.. Keep that positive energy and brighter days lay ahead
This is all I've been preaching. But they somehow turn it around on me and say I think this is a hoax. I never said this virus was a hoax. I never said any dumb shit about 5G or any government conspiracies. I just said that this is not as bad as it seems to be. With mainstream and social media being the driving force behind the fear, you had to expect it. In my opinion, none of these country's leaders care about the death toll. They just want to get their economies back up and going. And finally, it would help if you guys did some research and really looked into how many people die a day around the world. But no, CNN has the death score up all day like stock numbers, so y'all are so fucking scared. I guarantee you the majority of these people that died probably had less than a few years of life left anyways. Give or take a few people that really weren't supposed to die, the numbers aren't nearly as crazy as you fools think. Matter of fact, I would like to see the numbers at the end of the year of how many people died from other illnesses such as heart disease or cancer. Wonder if those numbers will drop down or not. How many people were supposed to die is car accidents, but are now all at home? Italy had some crazy number of 99 percent of the dead had one or more underlying issues. Im just saying. Negroes need to stop being mad because everybody aint bitching up like them.

Big up king. Ill first say we should all not be so confident that we know what will happen. So I appreciate your reply kinda humbling down my tone. Cuz I do not know whats gonna happen. But To me, this is what crackas will say so you keep on nigging. Anyone who isnt saying to themself "things are never going to be the same" will not be prepared if that becomes a reality. No thanks, ill prepare. If niggas get back to nigging then I was wrong, kool with that.

Someone said this last week that "some people just think different".
People that think like you are a problem. A BIG problem.

It aint about scared. Niggas aint hiding under their beds.
We are keeping it real and honest and you are in denial.
This shit is BAD. It can't be compared to other dieases.
The world is working hard to stop it and it is still wreaking havoc on the health care system.
Anyone that says otherwise is a true weirdo.

If you wanna be scared because the news told you to, enjoy your life buddy. This can't be compared to any other disease? Yeah you're right. Because there are so many more worse diseases.[/QUOTE]

What does that even mean?
Best reply I've read thus far.

The easiest way to look at it is to ask yourself, "What would it take for me to take my family to the movie theater, out to eat, or to a theme park?" The answer is almost certainly going to be tied to a vaccine.
Honestly, I dont ever have to do those things again!
Movie theater, I already rarely go... its probably been 2 years, when did Black Panther come out?
And with big TV'S & home theater tech.. shid

Out to eat? For me eating out has to due with convenience and schedule. Otherwise I'm cool with meal prep and taking my own lunch or snacks. Sometimes it is about trying new or diff foods that idk how to make tho, other times it's me just wanting a drink and wanting to wait out rush hour instead of driving an hour & 50 minutes in traffic, I'll stop get a few drinks and the drive home will be 40 min., i.e. convenience.

Theme park? FOH
I got a water hose and a yard! Better bring some balloons to fill!

What other disease has people of all ages dropping dead all over the country to the point of overwhelming hospitals and cemeteries?
are you talking about currently or historically? Cause if you talking about the latter this don't make top 20 list

"Has." Not had. Currently. We're talking about 2020. :hmm:

Coronavirus State-By-State Projections: When Will Each State Peak?
Tuesday April 7, 2020

...

The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation's COVID-19 projections were cited in recent White House briefings and take into account how the pandemic is playing out in several countries around the world. They incorporate the current trend line of deaths in U.S. states and the estimated impact of social distancing measures to predict when each state might reach peak daily deaths and hospital usage.

While projections like these are imprecise, they're useful to policymakers and hospital leaders trying to prepare for surges. The model was designed to give hospitals an idea of how quickly they need to expand capacity and by how much.

Researchers at IHME make frequent updates to the model based on newly available data. As of the most newest update, released Friday, the modelers project that U.S. deaths are peaking Friday. Some earlier updates have resulted in significant shifts. For instance, a recent major update, made Sunday, showed fewer people dying over a shorter period of time than originally predicted, the model's lead researcher Chris Murray says.

However, he cautioned that
when social distancing measures lift, outbreaks could spark up again.

"If you ease up prematurely the epidemic can rebound right back to the level we are at now in a matter of weeks," Murray says. "So the potential for rebound is enormous if we let up on social distancing."

Schools probably will not be opening in the fall.

It just hit me that I am very likely not going back to work again this year.

It's getting warm up here and looks like people want that old normal back combined with this reopening rush. :smh:

So you're saying what? April 2021?
Could be, Could take longer. Hopefully there is a breakthrough sooner.
I think they are going to have to force people to return to work before that though. I just don't know how that will work.
I picked August because of where I think the politics are headed.

I think it is clear that going back to "normal" too soon will lead to a spike in infections and reset the cycle. It's stupid and counter-productive to the best of my knowledge.

So most of the country couldn't make it through June, it turns out. Barely May.

Most people will forget all about this by next summer and people getting sick from COVID will just be another common thing like any other sickness

When do you expect for life to go back to what it was before, like two months ago rather than most of the country under stay at home orders?

It'll be interesting to track predictions. Will people be overly optimistic or pessimistic?

It's the beginning of April. I think this lasts until June easily. If there's a second wave, society could reclaim normalcy faster but sacrifice more of it long-term.

I'm going to say August and hope that doesn't bring about a second wave.
Never.... We never went back to normal after September 11th.

It's not normal...

but it's normal and a lot of the country has moved on. :dunno:

And this isn't just idiot CAC Republicans. A lot of minorities and liberals who should know better wouldn't say the same thing but they're living the same way, or closer to that than they should.

I'm not sure what you mean by normal, but I strongly believe many things will never be as they were before the pandemic started.

I was wrong guessing August but I think when we look at the rest of the world, I think the "never" people were more wrong. April clearly was not "the new normal."

It's normal now. This is the new normal.
