All of the medical community is likely working on a vaccine worldwide. We have better communication, better tech, so that may knock a few months off than it could take and have taken previous major pandemics.
That being said, I have a feeling we gonna reach a peak, infections are going to start to go down, then it's going to come back harder and stronger this fall because people may start to go back out and too close around each other too soon.
My guess is around next summer (July 2021) if a true vaccine can be found.

The easiest way to look at it is to ask yourself, "What would it take for me to take my family to the movie theater, out to eat, or to a theme park?" The answer is almost certainly going to be tied to a vaccine. Without that, life as we knew it just won't be possible. No one's risking COVID under reduced chances. It's gonna have to be zero for any real level of comfort.
That stated, we're at least a year away from that. Will the global economy hold under those circumstances? I sure hope so, but it's not a given.

I agree. I think we will see a little normalization around Christmas time then the "new" normal will kick in by mid next year. I also agree that with the lack of leadership at the federal level progress will be slowed.

Yes. We're just getting started man. Bowser says her projections show the peak not being until June in the city. I think all options are still on the table and its a very fluid matter that changes as the projections and information does. Im kinda surprised a transient city this densely populated isnt getting hit harder by now... We're actually lucky man.
