Rodman said he would have easily locked LeBron James down. What you think?

Would he have locked LBJ down?

  • Absolutely. Rodman did it to the best when the game was much tougher.

  • Hell naw. Players are bigger and stronger and he would have failed miserably against LBJ.

People forget this. Jokers live in the present.

People didnt forget it is just dennis legend grows with time. Shaq at his food infront of him.

36 and 12 against rodman

Dude avg 27 points on Rodman in the playoffs 1996.

And that is also while going 1/7 at the free throw line game 1 and 1/9 game 3.

Shaq dog walked Rodman.

Dennis would’ve done a great job but there’s two problems. There’s 48 minutes and he only gets 6 fouls.

Would’ve been fun to watch.

Exactly, the problem with these matchups is are they being played now or back then? LBJ would have missed the next couple of games due to migraines (concussion) after the defense he would have played on him BACK THEN. Dennis would have fouled out the first 30min of the game the way it is played today.

I mean this is SUPPOSED to happen. This is like how folks talk shyt about the Jordan Rules. Jordan is gonna go off, but if you can contain him from scoring 50+ that is a good thing.

Also LBJ is NOT Shaq. Shaq is a center Dennis is a PF doing a better job than most centers in his position.

Now to be fair

Under todays rules?

Rodman would NOT be as effective

And with Lebron strength court vision and passing

Oh it would NOT be a cake walk

But i HATE this

Peopke acting like Durant Lebron Paul george and Westbrook couldn't make the practice squad

And every player from that era was ONLY a notch below Jordan

Its disrespectful all around

I do not fcking understand why lebron kobe jordan magic bird kareem russell shaq dream duncan Isiah

can't ALL be great?

If we’re truly going to take Lebron and his current thinking and mentally and place him in the 80’s.

He’d spend the entire game frustrated saying “What kinda shoes are those, and why are they trying to guard me with those tight fucking shorts”?!?

Stop it Jordan rules was an entire team trying to contain one man. Y'all trying to make the case that Dennis Rodman lockdown a prime Shaq when a prime Shaq had him for a snack

90's Rodman vs Lebron I got Rodman

2012+ Rodman Vs Lebron I got Bron

Rodman had great defense guarded Shaq in his prime he(Shaq) took 2 shots no pts...Bron a different beast but Rodman would be all over him no way Bron taking over with Rodman on him

Notice how I said Malone 2.0
Bron is as powerful as Malone
But faster, more agile, vision, passing, ball skills and more mentally fit.

If Malone could go 25 10 4
Bron is easily going 30 12 10

You better hope his boy Pippen come help guard him.
Physically... you are correct. Mentally.... Lebron would get dominated by Rodman. LBJ isnt cool headed and plays extra soft. Rodman would lock him down no problem.

Yeah and the very next game, game 2 Rodman held Shaq to 36 points:rolleyes:

Not sure what part of “Just one game” you didn’t understand so I’ll say it again. It was “Just one game” that Rodman played solid defense against Shaq.

The video was to give those commenting a chance to see video of Rodman playing defense, instead of just talking about it.

People sure do like to take these narratives and run with them.

I never understood how Kareem is always left out as one of the greatest players ever. That's some disrespectful shit. :smh: Keep in mind also Rodman was a master at head games. All it takes is for him to say he fucked Lebron's wife and nutted in her ass to force two straight airballs. It's not what's being said when it comes to trash talk, but rather who and how they say it. Anyone who believes raw athleticism will power Lebron past Rodman didn't pay attention to his game in the 80's, 90's and are fooling themselves.

Locking down a super star NBA player means FG percentage. Lebron would still get his 30 but Rodman would probably force a low FG percentage

He was a rebounding fool and got into all his opponents head. Thing is he wouldn't get away with those antics today, he would be thrown out the game with the quickness lol.
