{~~~Guns, Guns and Mo' Guns - The Right To Keep And Bear Arms~~~}

I have zero experience with ranges. I would definitely look into something simple at 1st and expand from there. I'm not sure if you watch Hickok 45's videos?
On the other side of this pandemic, I plan on actively looking into acquiring some property.

Ironically, I found an 8" AR500 steel target at Play It Again sports while looking for a fishing rod. I bought it for $5.99!

Hung it on a metal rod that was used for a bird feeder

personally ,i am trying to be highly proficient between 0-100 yards and good at 100-400 yards . It's not very often i will need to shoot anything past 50 yards .
The way I think is when you overtrain for more than you will need, its easier to perform & execute when you need to.

My property is almost 9 acres, I'd like to be able to (with equipment & skill) hit a man-sized target at the length of my property.

Takes practice and preparation.

Need a sighting tool for all my platforms, long & short. Anybody got suggestions?

California... we can buy ammo from out of state and have it shipped to our homes again. Not sure how long it's going to last though. Get in on it while you can.

My thoughts? Don’t spend more than $500 on an AR. Lol.

Saw an ATI Omni Hybrid Maxx 5.56/223 on sale this morning for $449. The ATI has a fill piccatinny fore end. You can find a decent co-witness for $50.
Does quality not matter to yall?

I have one of their 1st mag fed Mossy clones. I could never get it to function properly. I've been looking at the bullpups and the Micro S, I may get one or both. These guys are right up the road from me. I've read mixed reviews so... :dunno: I'd go with the pump over the semi, not much can go wrong, that can't be sorted by some tinkering.
I been liking the shockwave

I don't think you are understanding my advice...today, AR's are way overpriced and you can get a a basic AR for less and add the mods you want later. Ain't no fucking way I'm spending thousands on a platform that has so many aftermarket options, I can still build one for less than $700 that will match the performance of any of the tactinerds buy to look pimping at the range.

I agree with this. I've purchased "higher end" AR's and still changed components to suit my preferences. I've found that when my build starts with a quality lower and barrel (also subjective). I can fit everything I want, and not have to pay for the kit that I'm just going to change anyway.

I have two, (.410 & 12 gauge). They are fun range toys, but I can't find a practical use for them. Imo shotguns with stocks are better for home defense. I'm not fond of the spray and pray tactic.
Shid, I can.
Something to have slung when I'm in my property riding around on a SxS or UTV.

I agree about the stock for HD
